HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY to PJ, Gus, Cinnamon, Manny and Fern!!!!!!

I can't believe it's a year today you little furballs entered the world, what a magical day it was. I think about you all often and wonder what adventures you get up to.
PJ has turned into a chilled and very clumsey bengal, he is keeping up with his skateboarding (I hear him skateboarding across the living room at night), he loves helping with water changes on the fish tanks (although his clumsiness usually gets the better of him and he ends up swimming in the tanks!) He is like a teddy bear and loves a belly rub, he has the loudest purrrrrr and sounds very much like chewbacca from star wars.

It's beginning to feel alot like Christmas! After playing in the snow with the kids I thought we can't leave the cats out, so we brought a snow tray in for the cats to experience. PJ loves snow, Shanti is a little suspicious. Who says indoor cats miss out!

Everyone loves PJ he has the purrrrfect nature, loves his belly rubs, cuddles, getting held like a baby, kisses and dressing up oh and his favourite hobby - skateboarding!The love I have for this wee guy is crazy. Can you tell he's spoilt rotten?

Anyone else's cat eat human food? PJ steals our food all the time his favourite is cheese from macdonalds, this was my philly cheese burger PJ stole off me when I wasn't looking, he also loves bacon supernoodles, macaroni cheese, macdonalds double quarter pounders and cucumbers and peppers. He is a greedy wee boy. To think he weighed 64grams when he was born, half the size of his litter mates and now he has overtaken his mama in size. He is going to be a very big handsome boy just like his daddy.

Kitten Mission: Backpack training: MISSION COMPLETE ✔️

Well our cat backpack arrived today so we are getting Shanti and the remaining 4 kittens used to the backpack. PJ is a natural backpacker he was purring so much and really enjoyed feeling the sunshine on his face. Shanti and the rest of the kittens are happy just playing hide and seek in it!
Step 1: let them play in it so it's not scary
Step 2: close them in without feeling trapped
Step 3: attach bubble or screen to enclose backpack
Step 4: walk about in the house with them enclosed
Step 5: take outside
Step 6: you now have a space cat!

Gosh where has the time gone! Kitten crew are 11 weeks and 4 days! They are all gorgeous wee furbabies. Their markings are so incredibly different. Its so difficult getting a group pic now!

The kitten crew have been kitted out with their first proper kitten collars, we have kept their original baby collar colours and I think they all look so smart! The bells were very exciting for the kittens. Mama Shanti got a dashing red one too we will see how long she keeps it on for.
I like to get the kittens used to wearing a collar as some might be outdoor cats so they need a collar and it's easier to introduce them to new things as young as possible. Also they can't hide or sneak up on us with their wee jingling bells. They are snap off collars so if they get caught on anything or tangled play fighting they just snap off, safety always.

Well 7 weeks old yesterday, where has the time gone!
The kittens are officially looking for homes now, a nonrefundable deposit reserves the kitten of your choice. They won't be ready until they are 13 weeks old as they will be neutered and spayed before leaving us and its best to leave them with mum as long as possible as its better for socialisation. Each kitten will come with Tica paperwork on the non active register and are for pet homes only. Each will come

Kitten Update:

Well the kittens have now been given their own wee colourful colour so we can tell who's who at just a glance.

Green - PJ (male)
Lilac - Stripey neck (female)
Yellow - Dark spotted (male)
Blue - Shanti's Boy (male)
Pink - Dotty (female)

Their confidence is growing daily and all now respond to "hey kittens!" they really like David Attenborough's voice as we have been watching alot of our planet on the TV, they were really into watching lions hunting the buffalo. We have seen them all trying to work out how the kazami wheel works and how to climb the really thick cat tree. Never a dull moment here with this bunch, they are so much fun.

Here at Caledonia Cats we know how important a raw natural diet is. It's important not to just feed raw meat but a mixture of offal, raw meat and bones so our cats get all the vital nutrients. We feed a mix of 80/10/10 that's 80% meat 10%bone and 10% offal. Little Shanti's Boy is enjoying his first raw chicken thigh and he's loving it! Note it must be raw as cooked bones splinter and can be fatal.

Caledonia Cats Kitten Update:
🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

We have moved the kitten crew to the busiest room in the house, so they are getting used to the hustle and bustle of a normal family home. They have plenty of toys to play with, plenty mischief to make and ofcourse plenty cuddles and kisses to go around.
The water fountain is proving very popular with all of them as is the butterfly toy and tunnel, it's amazing watching them stalking the butterfly and ofcourse their mum. Shanti's Boy the little explorer is certainly trouble everytime I turn my back he's up to no good, wondering off trying to climb up the chair legs, and trying to work out how to get up to the fish tanks! I think he does it to get the extra cuddles because as soon as you pick him up he cosies in and enjoys a chin rub. Dark spotted seems to think the water fountain is to swim in as he climbs into it and enjoys cooling off in it, the others look on in amazement. Little PJ hears my voice and comes running sits on my feet until I pick him up for cuddles. Dotty has worked out that Shanti's old cat toys are under the sofa and has made it her mission to retrieve them all 1 by 1 and Stripey Neck well she is determined to catch that butterfly toy. Their coats are coming out of fuzzy stage and beginning to clear up, PJ has a beautiful beige star shape on the back of his neck (he is such a wee star) along with his beautiful Stripey bottoms, the others coats are all so different I'm looking forward to seeing how they all grow.
