We will be opening our doors 2-4pm Sunday 1st December to allow access to pet food, toys and supplies before Christmas.

All are welcome, if you would like to come along to take supplies for yourself or someone in need please do so.

Any left over will be donated to charity. We will also have a cash box for donations to charity on the day.

Availability across TWO Edinburgh Cat Sitting Companies - Animal Antics AND Animals First Care. So an abundance of work depending on your willingness to travel.

Due to high demand, we have opportunities for people who are passionate about all things cats, to join our small team of crazy cat ladies. Ideally you live in the Edinburgh/Winchburgh/Gorebridge/Dalkeith areas (depending on which postcodes you’ll cover) for ease of key exchanges, but not essential.

If you are looking for work doing a feel-good job, can provide outstanding customer experience for both the cats in our care and their humans and have availability all year round then working with us could be the perfect job for you.

Hours will vary weekly depending on time of year, but the ideal candidate must be able to work mornings and afternoons/ evenings, shifts will include mid-week and weekends, Christmas and New Year. We have a variety of hours available and could be pretty flexible for the perfect candidate. We cover most areas in Edinburgh, so an enjoyment of driving and tolerance of Edinburgh’s roadworks is essential.

You will be working with cats of different characters and life experiences, some nervous, anxious, so a quiet and empathetic nature is necessary. You will understand how their emotions and health can manifest into different behaviours. We care for many elderly cats and cats with chronic illnesses, so you will be able to recognise when a cat is becoming unwell and take prompt action.

You will have:
😻Fantastic attention to detail and apply this when following cat care plans that have been created with the cats' owners and/or us (essential)
😻Experience of working with cats/animals within the animal care/welfare industry (essential)
😻Experience, and enjoyment, of working with the general public
😻Sound literacy and numeracy skills
😻Animal care/welfare qualification or working towards one (desirable)
😻A caring/loving mind set centred upon the wellbeing of all the cats in your care (including playing and interacting with cats)
😻A good sense of humour and enjoy exchanging whatsapp messages with clients
Requirements:
😺 Self-employed (willing to register with HMRC)
😺Police checked (PVG member with recent certificate))
😺Clean drivers License and own car
😺Business car insurance
😺A mobile phone with a great camera and good/unlimited data allowance
😺Experience and competency in administering oral medication and injections to cats (desirable but not essential as training will be given)
😺References of animal care experience

It’s a really sad day here today, our wonderful Carly is enjoying her final day of Edinpurr kitties😿💔😭 I will miss her so very much, as will all the kitties she has loved and cared for🥹 I am sure her business in Fife will go from strength to strength and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her if you are looking for kitty care that side of the water 😻🥰
