Jumbo came to the UK from Spain in 2017 and he is now 14 years old! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

He's been a big brother to a great many perrera dogs when his mum was able to foster and volunteer for the charity and now he's being promoted to big brother to a tiny human โค๏ธ

Jumbo is very special to all of us and we are super proud of him!

Do you think Bravo was happy to go home with his fosterers today? ๐Ÿคญ

A few of our dogs - Zebedee, Bravo, Mozze and Peking have spent a few days in kennels over the festivities to allow their families to participate in their holiday plans - the dogs were all looked after wonderfully at Suffolk Animal Rescue โค๏ธ and they are all back with their fosterers now ๐Ÿ’™

We are finalising the adoptions of Zebedee and Peking during the next couple of weeks ๐Ÿ˜Š

Bravo, Mozze, Limbo and Sooty are all ready and waiting to be adopted ๐Ÿคž

Thumper will be going into Zebedee's foster home in January and he will be fully assessed before adoption.

Fraggle will not be ready to move on until he's had his xrays and we have a plan for him. A foster-to-adopt placement where he can have any required surgery may be the best option ๐Ÿ™

We have a welfare case that we are currently funding that may be able to come to us in February ๐Ÿคž unfortunately due to an abuse and neglect background, we don't know yet if we are capable ๐Ÿ˜ข

Hello everyone. It's now been 2 weeks in my foster home again with Auntie B. I am starting to settle though still nervous about quick movements some noises and now the dark. My Auntie says I need someone patience who understands it may take time. I am Auntie B shadow lol she is just the best. Uncle Chris is doing well and walks round with tasty food to slip me so I'm slowly becoming his friend. My best mate Duke next door come into his garden when I need a wee at night and we run up and down the fence and I forget it's dark silly me. It's over 2 years since Bravo came to the UK in November 2022. He was then adopted in January 2023 and returned in March 2023 - he didn't do anything wrong, a change of circumstances meant it wasn't the right time for a dog unfortunately.

There was no foster home available so Bravo went to kennels for the next 11 months before we were finally able to place him in a suitable foster home.

Since being in foster Bravo has had numerous vet visits, behaviourists, training courses and equipment paid for by the charity. We've invested thousands into this dog because that's what RBU is. We will never get back the money but knowing it was all worth it when Bravo gets adopted will be rewarded enough for us.

He's now been in foster for almost a year and we would really love to find him a home soon so that another deserving dog can have the opportunities that Bravo has by being in the best foster home and having the best rescue support his journey โค๏ธ

Update from Fraggle's vet today... he needs to have some xrays done. He has recovered from the infection in his paws and he looks much happier and more agile than he did when he came back to us last week.

Unfortunately this (and the following treatment) will cost the charity several thousand pounds so any ideas on how to raise some of this would be greatly appreciated ๐Ÿ™

Despite being in a lot of pain and discomfort, Fraggle has been a delight to foster and the vet was also very taken with our cuddly boy!

Fraggle is not ready for applications yet but we will be looking for a super home for him soon!
