Our Bravo has been having cbd supplements for a while which have been helping him to not get too affected when he's feeling stressed about something scary.

It worked so well for Bravo thar we tried them for Zelda, then Kevin, Dora, sent some to Gemma's dad's dogs for fireworks and we've been recommending them to previous adopters everywhere so if they've noticed a sudden boost in sales it might be us ๐Ÿ˜‚

We need a foster home for Thumper. He's 53kg, age 3, a Caucasian shepherd.

He's in kennels at the moment and we'd like to get him into a foster home to be assessed for adoption. He was adopted as a puppy and has been returned for rehoming.

Thumper is a LARGE dog. He needs big breed experience. He can't live with other dogs.

We can't believe Spike is still waiting! He's had several applications and several homechecks but when people have been told he pulls on the lead and isn't fully house trained they have all withdrawn sadly ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

It really isn't his fault as he never had walks or a home. Spike did a job and had a kennel until very recently. Everything is new and very exciting to him!

Yannis is currently in kennels and as weโ€™ve mentioned before he has something commonly called โ€œhappy tailโ€

Happy tail is where the skin on the end of the tail splits from being knocked against things. Yannis does have a particularly long and waggy tail!

Having spoken to the vets today we think that the best course of action for Yannis is to have some of his tail removed, this will stop it from repeated splitting and soreness.

We need your helpโ€ฆ

We think it would help Yannisโ€™ healing massively if he were to be in a home while he recovers from this operation.

So we are seeking a special someone who might be willing to foster this lovely boy.

Yannis is super friendly and affectionate with kennel staff and enjoys going out for walks. He loves a cuddle and one on one attention.

Yannis would love a home where he is centre of attention and can have his human all to himself for most of the time.

Every year we see a rush of people offloading and abandoning dogs ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Grown up puppies that they haven't trained so they'll be embarrassing when people come round during the holidays.

Dogs they haven't socialised so they can't take them to family gatherings.

Dogs with fears and anxieties that their owners resent during the holidays and won't make arrangements for them that will mean the humans miss out or pay out.

Dogs that are being replaced by a new puppy at Christmas ๐ŸŽ„ (and the new puppy will be here next year)

Whether it's a puppy, a rescue dog or a family dog please remember that they didn't choose to have extra needs. They didn't choose not to be trained. And they didn't choose you. You chose and you are responsible for them whatever their needs may be.

Hello everyone

Zebedee is back with us and we can't hide him and we still need a home for him so we're going to show you what happened.

He hasn't been surrendered. He didn't do anything wrong. He has been wronged so we rescued him AGAIN. In particular Polly and Matt rescued him by getting up in the middle of the night and doing a 12 hour round trip to manoeuvre this mostly immobile poor old boy into a van and bring him back.

Zebedee has gained over 20kg in 5 months. Despite numerous efforts by every trustee and liaising with his vet, he is now horribly obese, which, at 12 years old and with arthritis, is going to be bloody hard work to get off. We've had no choice but to intervene and demand his return because this is just heart breaking and we were arguing with someone that didn't think this was a problem.

Please don't be rude or start a witchhunt. Nobody was deliberately bad to zebedee. This is lack of education (among other things) that being fat means a dog is happy. Zebedee is not happy. He's miserable, tired and in a lot of pain - completely unnecessarily so.

Zebedee has the vet on Tuesday morning. I've no idea what they're going to say but we will do everything we can to make him more comfortable and improve his quality of life.

We aren't asking for money or anything. But we will be looking for a home for him soon that will work with us to give Zebedee his best chance.

URGENT APPEAL โš ๏ธ On Tuesday, the team at @carefordogsro had a call to a rescue mission. Nothing could have prepared them for what they walked into. Thereโ€™s a woman in the neighbourhood who previously rescued dogs and kept them at home, recently she became severely mentally unwell and has been taken into hospital, the dogs were still in her house living in complete filth and squalor. 33 dogs all together, one sadly did not make it, the rest are at the shelter now even with no space and knowing they would each up intense vet bills. So far, thereโ€™s been an eye removal, heart disease, tumours, skin conditions. The videos of the rescue have been shared across social media and sadly have been used by some as a marketing technique. We will not guilt anybody into helping by advertising the house of horrors these dogs came from. Instead, here is a video of โ€˜male #10โ€™ being carried out. Weโ€™ve began a fundraiser for vet bills, already weโ€™ve hit nearly ยฃ1000 in just a couple of hours but we desperately want to reach ยฃ2000 to send to the team TONIGHT to assist with vet bills.
