URGENT APPEAL โ ๏ธ
On Tuesday, the team at @carefordogsro had a call to a rescue mission. Nothing could have prepared them for what they walked into.
Thereโs a woman in the neighbourhood who previously rescued dogs and kept them at home, recently she became severely mentally unwell and has been taken into hospital, the dogs were still in her house living in complete filth and squalor.
33 dogs all together, one sadly did not make it, the rest are at the shelter now even with no space and knowing they would each up intense vet bills. So far, thereโs been an eye removal, heart disease, tumours, skin conditions. The videos of the rescue have been shared across social media and sadly have been used by some as a marketing technique. We will not guilt anybody into helping by advertising the house of horrors these dogs came from. Instead, here is a video of โmale #10โ being carried out.
Weโve began a fundraiser for vet bills, already weโve hit nearly ยฃ1000 in just a couple of hours but we desperately want to reach ยฃ2000 to send to the team TONIGHT to assist with vet bills. ZULA IS STILL WAITING ๐
We know Zula hasnโt had interest because she arrived extremely nervous and not a tiny fluffy pup, she was overshadowed by dogs like Neeps, Tatties and Renai ๐ข
Zula has spent around 6 weeks in her Essex foster now and is like a different dog! Her nerves are pretty much gone. Itโs important to note that any dog may regress in nervousness in a new environment so any applicant should be prepared to worth through this.
Zula is around 6 months old, she is dog friendly and would require a resident dog to continue building her confidence, she can also live with dog savvy cats (but she may try to play so they must like dogs). Zula can be homed with kids 14 years+.
Zula walks well on the lead ๐ฆฎ and needs somebody around in the home most of the time. She requires a private, secure garden ๐ก
Zula will give her adopter a lifetime of love and happiness, we know her home is out there, they just havenโt found her yet โค๏ธโ๐ฉน

Flower (male) arrived in foster this morning. He was rescued with his siblings from becoming bait dogs.
All 4 siblings are needing some extra TLC for now as their body condition isnโt great and they need some time to decompress but their applications are open.

๐ขEarly this morning @penfarthing announced that @borisjohnsonuk has approved 68 visas for the #nowzad staff to enter the UK!
๐ข For questions regarding animals taking up space for people: This is NOT the case. The plane has around 250 seats of which only around 70 will be taken up by @nowzadrescue. They told the UK government to fill the plane to capacity with others fleeing to the UK. All cats and dogs will be boarded into the cargo hold, where people cannot go.
๐ก Some @nowzadrescue staff have chosen to stay behind, they will continue to be paid and while there will look after the larger animals unable to flee.
So what do we need to do now?
๐ด Pen has asked we stop nagging the UK government and instead thank them for their full backing of Ark. However, he needs an ISAF number today so heโs asked that we keep asking for this to be sent.
๐ด US President @joebiden should be contacted, ask him to keep the air corridor open as he plans to close this on the 31st. It is vital this stays open for others to evacuate.
We must keep up the momentum until the staff and animals are safely in the UK. It is working and they are so close to evacuation. Keep shouting ๐๐ผ
