My new pet family for a week! lovely Fergus a labradoodle who is the most loving, adorable boy and Mason the tortoise which I can’t stop watching. I have always wanted one, I think they are just lovely and can live to a very old age. Here he is munching on his breakfast, you can hear him slurping, so cute.

Introducing Loki and summer an adorable pair, very sweet cuddly and loving. Staying in Kettleburgh a gorgeous true Suffolk village, adorable cottages with names like, Hope Cottage, Bramble Cottage, it’s adorable and the people are really friendly! with Framlingham 2 miles up the road and Aldburgh about 12 miles away, it’s just a lovely place. The park is opposite the house I am staying at, just a little walk, and it’s so beautiful, lots of wild bits left for the Pollinators, it also has apple trees to help yourself! hawthorn, blackberries and rose hips also lovely abundant bushes of rosemary. I’ve been collecting apples for my juicing and rosemary for a tea with ginger. The dogs loving nature kind of reflects the feel of the place.

Bella & diesel having a slow wander and sniff. Do you know dogs have over 200 million sense receptor’s, they use chemical compounds in scents to communicate information. Sniffing is a great way to stimulate a dogs mind and keep their brain healthy. Sniffing can also release dopamine which can boost your dogs mood.

I have just had a lovely review left from the owner of Isla, Malos, and lola I have had to copy and paste as for some reason people cant leave a review in the review section.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Dee to take care of your pets. She looked after our dogs and was reliable, trustworthy, and patient (especially with our terrible twosome). She was friendly and knowledgeable, and we felt safe in her hands.

I’m back with dear little Diesel and the owner does not mind my Bella coming to stay with me. So I’m popping to get her tomorrow how lovely. They are both very old, deaf and can’t walk very far but they enjoy each others company. I’m here for a week so how lovely little Bella can come too. They need a bit of patience as they age just like old people, also comfort warmth and reassurance.

I have had fun with these two they have definitely kept me on my toes. These are the quiet moments of them sleeping after running rampant around the house and garden. Time for a cup of tea.

Introducing Bailey he is so handsome and such a lovely temperment, he is a credit to his owners. He has a Glaucoma condition so has lost one eye and has to rely on his other senses. He has a habit of rubbing himself along the hedge for a good scratch, Hilarious. He is just so adorable.

Introducing diesel an old boy with rickerty joints, deaf and a bit senile. But he is gorgeous and has been bouncing around like a pup since I arrived. Animals take to me well, and I love my job, very satisfying.

Pet sitting in Suffolk 2 gorgeous dogs with wonderful temperaments and 2 beautiful cats all full of personality. They took to me straight away taking it in turns to eye me up and check me out. I was met with approval with a big kiss planted on my face.

I Have made my own dog food for Bella ( my little terrior x) as after her gastroenteritis she has a delicate stomach (although she has always been sensitive)I got the recipe from veterinary secrets on you tube. He has some great alternatives to mainstream pet products. The food is minced beef, rice, ground flax seed, chard and dandelion leaf, (pureed) Krill oil, eggs and I used yeast extract and vetzyme multi vitamin for aging dogs(Add the multivitamin & Krill oil after the food is cooked just before you serve it)
I made a big batch so I could freeze it in the little tin foil tubs, so I can defrost and pop in the oven to heat through. Bella needs warm food in her tummy and seems to prefer cooked food. She loved this and woofed it down in no time and seemed pretty satiated. Check out veterinary secrets for other natural products if you have sensitive pets.
