***XL BULLY***

We have had a few asking about boarding for XL bullies. Some of your lovely doggies board with us regularly and are absolutely lovely dogs so hopefully we can find a way forward.
Currently there is no change to board XL bullies with us, you must adhere to the current Scottish guidelines (ie, arriving on a lead with a muzzle fitted) We will remove muzzle once they are in our premises and will not have to go on walks with it on here as we are on private land 🙂

This will remain until 1 August 2024. Thereafter sadly no guidance has been given on boarding but I’ve been told by my insurance company to contact them again in July to see what the extra surcharge will be to board XLs, obviously if this is extortionate it wouldn’t be viable to continue so please make sure you have a back up plan with your XL if you are boarded with us after 1 August.

Obviously I’m going to try any deal I can with my insurance to be allowed to continue boarding them, even if it’s just a surcharge per boarded dog. It’s hard to say right now what I’ll be able to do 🙂

Today is the BEST day 🥰 After all your shares and with the help of Japanese Akita Welfare Trust (JAWT) (the only charity that even considered helping us) Kuma was waved off to her new forever home 🥰🥰🥰 Please consider making a small donation to them, they are one of the best charities I’ve ever come across and do incredible work. Does she not look delighted??!! Best Valentine’s Day ever for our girl 😬💗💘💞 Enjoy your snuggles and home comforts, after nearly 10months in kennels she certainly deserves it 💞 Also thanks to Denby's Dapper Dogs and Sophie’s Groom Room for giving her a fantastic tidy up blowing out her coat 👏👏

🖤LAST CHANCE TO FIND KUMA A HOME🖤

Now I’m no professional dog trainer BUT I invite anyone to come and tell me this girl is not trainable. Since her time with us we have all grown SO fond of her. She loves my little girl (3years old) but at the same time I’d never trust her alone with her as I do believe if she fell or accidentally pulled her coat, collar, ear or tail, then she possibly could defend and this never ends well for a child. Hence older kind and mature children I’m confident would be fine. She didn’t get on with other dogs, but we have been told she has in the past had other doggy friends. I’ve since introduced her to my 2 dogs slowly and I’m confident again she will learn and actually will even enjoy the company of another calm dog.
She has had SO much exposure here with animals of all sorts and has been nothing but brilliant. She loves a cuddle/groom and my heart just tells me she will be a great companion for someone with the correct set up. She will be loved and petted all day if she had the opportunity and every paw is just filled with so much love.
She is very happy to wear her muzzle while out in public(which is the only condition the council has on her) and is completely switched off to passing bikes/dogs/buggies. One of our staff has regularly had her round to her house and she has been wonderful. She is so so clean and house trained to perfection. Not once in the entire time we’ve had her has she wrecked a bed or done the toilet in her pen.
I just know there is a home out there for her 🥰 Her days are now limited sadly and this is one last push so please share share share and let’s see if we can get her the right home.

🌟🌟🌟Now that everyone has settled into 2024 we are desperately pushing to find Kuma a home!!🌟🌟🌟
We are happy to work with the potential adoptee with taster days & bonding sessions while she is still boarded with us. One of our lovley staff has been taking her home for overnight stays and she’s been nothing but wonderful in a home environment which is really what she needs🥰🥺 We truly believe she has so much to offer as a loving companion

We do have nice grippy rubber mats to take you safely to the front of the kennels :)

Get the tissues😭 oh we are full of tears here 😭 The BEST gift for this beautiful girl would be a new forever home 💜💜 but the next best was a “Secret Santa” Thank you SO much 🙏🙏 She loved her gifts and it certainly brightened her day. **REHOME** This beautiful Akita girl is still with us 😭😭 😭She needs a home, she is desperate for love. Yes she has quirks but after really spending more time with her we have got to know her so much better and she is actually just lovely 🥰 There MUST be a family out somewhere looking for a new furry friend 🙏, adult family or children dog aware over the age of 15/16 would be ideal. She is not good with dogs she doesn’t know but has also formed playful hinds with dogs on the past and I’m currently socialising her with my very friendly Labrador. So ideally an only dog home BUT potentially an experienced home that can introduce them correctly would also be fine. I’m happy to keep her with me while the potential home meets her and gets to know her, you are welcome to take her on walks here until you know she could fit into your life. She doesn’t deserve to still be in kennels, she needs a home ❤️ All quirks and discussions over her will be fully disclosed as we want the best home for her and will be fussy.

She’s got a lot of love to give, walks beautifully on a harness, and desperate for a stable loving home with no kids (or older teenagers could be fine, no cats and ideally no dogs although we believe she has had select doggy friends in the past) A rural experienced home would be ideal 🙏🙏🙏
