⚠️ Be aware of blue-green algae ⚠️
With the hot, sunny weather fast approaching, it's possible for your local streams, lakes, rivers, estuaries and sea to be contaminated with blue-green algae.

Many blue-green algae contain, or make, a number of different toxins. These toxins are often harmful to dogs, and can even be deadly. Dogs are most commonly exposed when swimming, playing in, or drinking from contaminated water. Dogs may lick the contaminated water from their fur and can be poisoned this way.

If you come across a body of water that you think may contain blue-green algae, do not go in it yourself, or let your dog swim in it or drink from it.

It’s been a while since I posted any doggie pictures. Mainly because I keep forgetting to take them. 🤷‍♀️
Had a lovely busy day today over in Somersham at Pawsitive . Three new clients today this is two of them.
Unfortunately there were lots of road works around which made it difficult for some owners hope you all got home ok. Such a nuisance, but hopefully they will be better once they are done.

With 8 categories to enter, there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category. The winners of 1st place will then compete for the coveted title of ‘Best in Show’! 🏆

Don’t forget to fill out your entry forms, available at The Village Pet Shop throughout June or at the event itself. The entry fee is just £1.50 per category (cash only), and all profits will go towards supporting the Somersham Carnival Committee.
