Spanner & Smasher we are so proud of you 🧡

Cabeza WON Epsom’s horse of the year on Saturday with plenty of delighted owners to collect his prize, a beautiful painting of him crossing the line. It is especially poignant for him to win this award after he gave us all a big scare back in March and spent some time at Sussex Equine Hospital with a nasty bout of colic. Retirement looked likely for him at once stage this year, but he showed us what he’s made of, and has won some very nice races since. Having purchased him as a yearling, it’s been a real pleasure watching him grow into a fabulous horse over the years.

Spanner & Smasher also both picked up Epsom’s Most Winning Horse award, both with 3 on the board for the year. Two very special horses who we, and their owners absolutely adore. Well done boys.

Huge shout out to the dedicated team behind them who without, none of this would be possible. 🥂🧡🙌🏽

My Turn Now 🧡🥇

Win number 14 of the year! MTN ran a brilliant race under a strong ride. She was returning to the track after 3 months off and a wind op, and got her head in front at a whopping 25/1. This is her second win of 2024.

Well done to team all the team 👏🏻 who had the winner and the 3rd in the same race.

Our legend of a horse Concierge requires a home for life

He is vice free and has begun retraining with Rhiain Ingram who has found him to be very adept over poles and jumps incredibly well. He is taking retraining all in his stride. He is now ready to find his new home, and would make a great low level all rounder 🧡

He is able to be seen and ridden in Epsom and he is open to vet.

Conci is 15’2, good in traffic, not spooky, & very straight forward. He has bundles of personality on the ground, good to turn out with mares or geldings.

The home is more important than price however we have already invested some money in getting him started with his retraining in order to find him a brilliant home, and would simply like a fair sum back to cover these costs.

Happy retirement Concierge 🥹❤️😭

His first race for us was at Glorious Goodwood and we knew that day he was going to be special, running a cracker in the Stewards Cup. Over the next few years he took us to some amazing places, placed multiple times in big races at Ascot and Newmarket, as well as winning at Brighton & Bath, but his class 2 success at Newbury was his best win, as the outsider of the field, cheered on by his adoring owners, and made a very special day for us all. His owners have been so loyal and supportive and he has repaid them well.

It’s very bitter sweet writing this, he has been a member of our team from almost the very start, and the fact we wont see him at the races again, bucking around the paddock when that bell rings, brings a little sadness, however we are so happy that he is bowing out of a very respectable career, healthy & happy & ready to go on to the next chapter of his life.

Conci will be impossible to replace, so full of character, he will be thoroughly missed at home with us this winter for his holidays.

A special mention has to go to Deb from Attwater Racing. The love she has for Conci has been heartwarming, even when she moved to the other side of the world she was always watching his races, and keeping in touch. They had some great days out together, and she spoiled him rotten, and we are so grateful for that. Of course ‘thank you’ to the rest of the team at Attwater Racing who loved him too, although I know everyone will agree with me when I say no one loves him quite like Deb does!

Thank you for the memories Conci, you are the best boy in the world, small but mighty and you made us so proud 🧡

Winner 1️⃣3️⃣🧡🥇

Cabeza de Llave 🔧 battled on bravely to the line under a strong Paddy Bradley ride at Chelmsford last night. There was lots of cheering from our delighted owners when the photo finish was announced in our favour.

Spanner’s 3rd win of the year, he’s a superstar and so loved by everyone, especially Amelia who was there to lead him up. 👏🏻

Well done to his loyal owners 🥂 and all the team at home at Tattenham Corner.

Two year old Beautiful Things

A 77k breeze up purchase by Amo Racing she has run four times and came a close 3rd on handicap debut a couple of weeks ago.

She has settled into life at Attwater racing well and should be on the track soon 👌

Spanner 🔧 (Cabeza de Llave) wins Royal Windsor Racecourse under Paddy Bradley making that his 5th career win, & 2nd of 2024!

It’s been a rollercoaster with Spanner this year, seeing him win today was special for so many people. In March this year, he was back at home with us for a holiday when he became seriously unwell with Colic, and spent a couple of weeks in where they nursed him back to health. A big thanks to Jess Fisher & Zoe from Shotters & Byers who were an incredible help in the early stages of his colic.

He then ran a number of disappointing races in the spring, so much so we were considering retirement. We threw the kitchen sink at him in one last effort to get him back to winning ways. The team at Attwater racing along with their farrier & vets have got him back to his old self, so seeing him win this evening was an incredible feeling.

His owners have stuck by him, and always kept the faith, he went so close last week and won very gamely tonight despite a 3lb rise from the handicapper!!🔧🧡

Winner number 12 of 2024, which feels pretty surreal! Well done to everyone involved.

Monday saw us host our annual summer open day at Tattenham Corner Stables ☀️

The highlight had to be special guest Cappananty Con making an appearance. Jeff kindly hacked him over to his old stomping grounds where everyone was delighted to see him, he looks so well and is keeping Jeff out of trouble 😉

We then had a parade of horses with a Q&A with Mick, Will and Paddy, discussing the brilliant year so far and future plans for the rest of 2024.

The rest of the afternoon was spent enjoying an afternoons racing from the Royal Box at Epsom, Concierge had us all shouting the box down as he so nearly won at Chepstow! A few even made it to the pub after racing 🍻

The biggest thank you to team Attwater racing for all their hard work hosting us and our team of owners for the morning. And of course to our star baker Dee Gallagher who provided some very tasty cakes! 🎂

Nordic Glory gets his head infront under his favourite partner William Carson! Win number 6 in total for this dynamic duo, no other jockey has managed to win on him!!!

Nordic really deserved to get that win, having been so consistent the last few weeks. His first win on turf too! Congratulations to his loyal owners 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

Cabeza de Llave aka Spanner 🔧 ran a much better race, he’s been having some issues of late but this was a much improved performance from him so fingers crossed he’s back on the right track 🧡

Win number 1️⃣1️⃣ for 2024. Our aim at the start of the year was 10, so to pass that is a brilliant feeling, and a massive thanks must go to Attwater racing and all the girls who take such brilliant care of all our team at home 🥰

THISMYDREAM 💭 🧡 Wins under Kaiya Fraser

His second win of the year and first on the turf, TMD makes that our 10th winner of 2024 🤩

A real gutsy performance had us all holding our breath in those final stages, but a strong ride from and some real guts from TMD saw them cross the line in front!

Great to have so many owners down on course tonight to celebrate and get interviewed on ATR, well done and thank you to all the team at home too 💪🏼💪🏼

🐻 BEAR TO DREAM🐻 Wins under Kaiya Fraser ⭐️

After 5 months off the track Bear wins very nicely, under a brilliant ride from Kaiya.

She certainly loves it at the Seaside, and that’s her second win for the year. She also picked up Best Turned Out for Abbie and Lana.

Nordic Glory ran nicely to finish 3rd in the first race; in not his preferred ground.

It was great to have lots of owners supporting both Nordic & Bear today 👏🏻 Well done everyone, and to all the team at home Attwater racing

A great run from Concierge to finish 3rd today, in ground not best suited to him. We’re all doing a rain dance for him ☔️ and he’s sure to be in the winners enclosure very soon!

I think he was pretty happy to have a day out with his beloved Debi Noon🥰
