Summer is here and rising temperatures could cause problems for your guinea pig. Given that guinea pigs are native to South America, you might not expect them to suffer from heatstroke but these rodents are sensitive to sudden environmental changes.

As the weather heats up, consider moving your guinea pigs out of direct sun into an area that is consistent in temperature throughout the day. They’ll reward you with plenty of delightful guinea pig wheeks and coos! 🌞🩷

It’s lovely to see a spattering of daisies on the lawn, but did you know they are toxic to cats? Generally speaking, your feline friend will avoid toxic plants but they may be curious and sometimes nibble on plants, even if they are poisonous.

These pretty flowers can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, dehydration and in some cases, worse. If you know your kitty has consumed daises then give us a call on 01372 460107. 🐱🌸❌
