A superstar Hunter that can SERIOUSLY operate but equally is mannerly enough to be able to enjoy on a quieter day out!

Josie’s really starting to understand the job, she’s mannerly and straightforward - she gives you 100% but she’ll happily have a snooze in the field whilst you natter too!

Our 3YO’s, Hendrix (Cavalier Royale) & Flo (Huntingfield Rebel) have been carrying out a site inspection today, checking out our new barn…

We never shy away from exposing them to the real world! 🌍

These are the last two of our 3YO’s to be backed (not through any fault of their own but it’s physically impossible to safely & correctly educate 10 horses simultaneously, alongside our riding horses, between two people 🫣)

We have some VERY exciting plans for the future, be sure to watch this space… 👀 🤫

We had Harry, Dreamer, Raven & Clover out for The East Devon Hunt’s Opening Meet today…

We had a FANTASTIC day and all the horses were impeccably well behaved, we couldn’t have asked for a single thing more from them!

👏🏼 A HUGE thank you to Brian, he did a wonderful job riding Dreamer today & the team wouldn’t be the same without him! You’d never believe she’s a 4YO, she jumped everything asked of her - she’s such a special horse…

🐎 It was great to have Jade joining us today, giving Harry a great spin around the countryside! He was a very happy horse to be hopping gates & hedges!

✈️ Raven is a complete machine, he’s sure to put a smile on anyone’s face!

🍀 They don’t come any politer than Clover, she’s got plenty of go but it’s only there if you ask for it!

Another HUGE thank you to everyone involved in making today happen, so much effort was put in by everyone to make sure that we all enjoyed our day 🐶

⭐️ PART-TIME GROOM POSITION ⭐

🇮🇪 We are looking for a RELIABLE member to join our team - immediate start is available.

We are a family run sales and producing yard looking for another keen individual to join our existing team as a Part-time Groom at Probus Farm - based in Exeter, Devon.

🔵 Weekly hours can be FLEXIBLE and discussed on an individual basis - seeking someone able to commit to 2 mornings per week to include a weekend day (roughly 8am to 12pm) and additional holiday cover when required.
More weekly hours will be available if desired!!

Days / hours can be discussed with applicants on an individual basis and additional hours are available.

Young horses are our passion & we predominantly produce Hunter / Eventers, specialising solely in Irish Imports.

The right applicant will need to;

✅ MUST BE RELIABLE!!!!!

✅ Be confident handling horses of all ages and sizes

✅ Have the initiative to get things done!

✅ Help exercise horses (hacking out confidently in company is the basic expectation)

✅ Be competent lunging

✅ Be competent in all aspects of general yard management.

✅ Must have a driving license & own transport

✅ 18+ years only

✅ Commit to yard cover on one weekend day and the remaining days can be flexible.

Immediate start available, yard competence is essential as there will be an expectancy of sole charge on occasions.

💪🏼 More than happy to consider a less experienced applicant that is hardworking, confident and keen to learn however this position wouldn’t suit a complete Novice or someone who has no experience on a working yard.

🐎 Self employed / Freelance Groom position

🐎 MUST have own insurances in place

🐎 Wage discussed on individual basis

A sunny morning out today for Harry, Dreamer & Clover ☀️

Today was The EDH children’s meet & it was great to see the next generation out enjoying their ponies 🐴

All three horses were faultless and enjoyed a morning exploring Devon countryside amongst friends!

Dreamer enjoyed sharing a morning port! 🍷🤣

WOW, what a 4YO… her first time over hedges and she was fantastic! She took a lead for her first couple and then she was confidently schooling independently. She’s got a seriously bright future ahead of her and such an easy temperament to match, we’re over the moon with her!

🐶 Danni’s first experience of hunting and although she has a lot to learn there is certainly a LOT to like too! We look forward to getting her out and about to see the world & continue her production.

🐎 Raven has an enormous heart - he’ll come down to hedges with his ears pricked forward!! He’s well able to cross some big country out hunting this season! He’s keen for the job but has plenty of manners…
