This poor baby has been left for dead all day today in this awful weather until the lovely Kerry- Ann took the time to check and brought her straight to me. She was stone cold, soaking wet with lots of fly strike, she’s been warmed given fluids and is trying to eat something. Please if you see a hedgehog laid out please take the time to check for breathing it can be very shallow gently touch their spines for a reaction.

Lots of autumn babies coming into rescue all extremely skinny all suffering from the usual parasites. Including the worst fly strike. So far this week we have Nettle, Pickle, Cookie, Fern, Bracken, Moss and Smile who wasn’t closing her mouth properly and had a lump under her chin, she’s been xrayed and nothing broken so hopefully it will right itself with time and anti-inflammatory. Also 2 poorly babies that didn’t make it sadly 🌈💕The poor babies are really struggling this year I think it’s because it’s still extremely dry. So remember water and kitten biscuits for our prickly friends.

Also some release of who I always forget to take photos of, a couple of my favourites who I really didn’t think would make their first night but they proved me wrong my favourite old boy Wheeze, the skinny girl Flo, Scamps and big girl. Stay save🦔🦔🦔🦔🦔

Poor Ronnie arrived yesterday after being found in a field with wounds to his nose and bum the wound was filled with maggots, he was also covered in fly strike and fleas. All in all he’s a very poorly boy but fighting hard.

On Friday little Chestnut arrived seen out about in the day suffering from ringworm and the usual parasites.

Also yesterday little Conker was collect after being seen running around and crying for mum. Some how he ended up in a walled garden with no exit food or water.😥
