Update - After speaking to my hedgehog guru with years of experience she thinks it might be caused by a calcium deficiency or a heavy parasite burden obviously treatment is on going and only time will tell if it’s something more sinister.
This poor little guy arrived yesterday collapsed and suffering from Fluke later when he was a bit more stable I noticed he can’t walk properly. He’s been to the amazing Bonafice vets to and no physical problems were found so it was decided he’s given a bit longer to see any improvement is made. He’s not eating independently so needs to be syringe fed. He’s a lovely boy really fluffy and tuffie bits behind his ears so I’ve named him Tuffie 🤣 But he needs all your prayers.
Purple and Mel returned home to the wild
This little one arrived from a disturbed nest, sadly mum left him behind when she moved his sibling. His eyes are still closed. So back on nights feeds. Lots of 🙏🙏 for this little one as they are difficult to get through when their this young.
Sadly little Mr Prickels didn’t make it initially he did really well, but went done hill fast, he had such a heavy burden of lungworm for one so little probably pass on to him by his mum🥲🥲
This is little Wriggles enjoying his supper, so you can get a perspective this is a lid off a Pringle tube.
Mr Prickles 120grams also came in on Monday and joined Little Miss Prickles from Sunday as hoglets do better together. Next to arrive brother and sister 70grams each Wriggles and Squiggle’s then their was found today 2 days later and has joined them but she’s a lot lighter in colour. Again it’s 🙏🙏🤞🤞 for these and some night feeds.
Hoglet action and an harressed mum, but she is so good with them💕
Mum is in the spare bed box in her cage which is where she goes for some alone time but 2 little troubles has found her 🤣
Mum and her 5 babies now out and exploring 🥰
Lovely footage of Shauna last night self anointing after she was released back to finders garden. This is where they produce saliva then spread it on themselves, no one really knows why do this but the thinking is that they do the when they encounter new smells to help blend themselves in with their environment💕🦔🦔
Munchkin’s first first taste of puppy mousse, he seemed to like it but refuses to try it again 🥲
A very huffy puffy Munchkin 🤣
Escapee
Escapee this morning one of Sniffles babies, quickly reunited 💙💕
Surprise more unexpected babies, Sniffles that came in with a suspected dog bite and still under treatment and now a mum of at least 3 hoglets 🦔🦔🦔
Sweet little boy in yesterday Hoggin, again very poorly, passing blood. No picture as I’m having to give him a lot of treatment so don’t want to stress him any more.😥🙏🙏🙏🤞🤞
But a cute video of Sniffles who’s nose wounds are healing nicely
2 new admissions today, Pom-Pom who is probably suffering from pneumonia struggling to breathe and severely dehydrated she can’t really stand on her own. Treatment started and she is taking syringe feeds. But she will need a lot of luck to pull through. Humarni weighing only 300g out in the day suffering from all the usual parasites again treatment started and 🤞🤞for her. 🙏🙏🙏🙏.
