Another well deserved post on our incredible GFS Zingalina. The end of a fairly intensive couple of weeks of outings and exposure to new experiences saw her compete today at BS discovery. In a class of nineteen competitors she flew round double clear and 3.28 seconds faster than the quickest of the other clears! Unfortunately as she was competing on a ticket she was unplaced in this affiliated class, but I could not have been prouder. She behaved impeccably, remained focused, careful and listened to her fabulous rider, Rachael Vicary throughout. This amazing five year old has the scope, the brain and the attitude to go far. This is only the start of her journey, but what an exciting trajectory that she is on. She will be well and truly ready for the eventing season next year...all she needs is a new owner to enjoy the ride!

We have had GFS Zingalina out and about over the past couple of weeks giving her the opportunity to experience a wider variety of ridden experiences and different venues. She has risen to each occasion with confidence, enthusiasm and an exceptional attitude. Her professionalism and superb manners have made me very proud breeder. The last thing on the list now is to regretfully find her a new home where her star can continue to rise and her lucky new owner can enjoy the opportunity to continue the journey with this fabulous young mare.
She is five years old, 16.2hh and has been professionally produced from day one. She schools beautifully and has lovely movement, she enjoys her show jumping enormously and has a careful jump with huge scope. She will make a tremendous eventer and be enormous fun for an ambitious rider looking for a future star who is an absolute darling too.
Here are a few photos of her thoroughly enjoying some arena eventing practice with Rachael Vicary in gale force winds and torrential rain this afternoon. More to follow...

Nicarado (Diarado x Corland/Caratino Glory) - In foal to the rising star and 1.60 show jumping stallion Baloutaire (Balout de Rouet x Chacco Blue!/Voltaire)
This is our beautiful Nicarado, she stands at 16.1hh and is eight years old. She is a lovely mare to have on the yard, being mannerly and very sweet natured. She moves absolutely beautifully and has an effortless jump..She is by the great Diarado who is number one for the world ranking stallions for eventing and eleven for show jumping!
Diarado is one of the most popular, and highest-ranked, stallions in Germany, and he impresses with exemplary ease at the jump, with superior scope, a willingness to perform that is second to none, manoeuvrability and intelligence; attributes that are necessary for today’s technical courses. Diarado is not only popular as a sire of show jumpers, but also as a sire of eventers; he always passes on his beautiful and correct type and conformation, which is so important for long-term soundness and durability. He was in sixth place on the 2017 BE Sire Rankings for 4-8 year-old offspring.
His sire, Diamant de Semilly topped the WBFSH Sire Rankings for the second time in 2016, having been inside the top ten since 2012. During his career, he was French national champion and WEG team gold medallist in 2002, and European team silver medallist in 2003.
Her dam sire, Corland is from the famous Holsteiner Line 104A, which goes directly back to Retsina, a two-time winner of the Hamburg Derby.
Corland had an impressive career under W.J. van der Schans. At the European Championship, Corland proved to all that he belongs in the category ‘the best in the world’. In Nation’s Cup series, he won both qualifiers and had the best results of the Nation’s competition clocking the fastest clear round. In the finals, he was 9th. Additionally, there were the following results: 2nd GP Rotterdam, 4th GP’s Oslo and Den Bosch, 5th GP’s Bordeaux and Maastricht, 6th GP Helsinki, 7th GP’s Zuidlaren, La Baule and Calgary.
He also was Champion of the Benelux in The Hague, 7th in the World Cup of Verona and 2nd in ‘The Sires of the World’ in Lanaken.
Her dam was out of a Caretino Glory mare whose back pedigree is packed with the key names in jumping breeding – Cor De La Bryere, Ramiro, Gotthard. Further investigation of his pedigree goes some way to explaining why he passes on both quality and better than average movement.
His sire Cheenook was trained to Grand Prix level dressage, and was known for his flamboyant movement despite his Holstein jumping pedigree. In Germany alone he has 56 offspring competing at S level show jumping and 16 at S level dressage. Cheenook’s full sisters produced the decent show jumpers Cocu who represented the USA at the World Equestrian Games and Carino who also competed at 5* level.

Here are some rather atmospheric photos of GFS Zingalina and Rachael as the torrential rain starts to subside and clear skies once again emerge victorious. I just wish the days were a bit longer as there never seems to
be enough daylight hours to get everything done !

Boys will be boys!
The two yearlings GFS Astronova (Ahorn x Arko II/Calvados) and GFS Conchaccorado (Conthalou x Diarado/Corland/Caratino Glory) indulging in a little gratuitous thuggery and hooliganism as the evening draws in. Beaautiful Aquillo has now left for his lovely new home and the boys are missing his firm, calm presence at the helm, but they are always having fun and always great fun to watch.
Theses two are top quality sporting prospects for anyone in search of a very smart youngster with huge performance potential!

Charisma (2015)
Camarao x Hurikan/Landruf

Standing at 16.2hh, Charisma has been with us since weaning. Purchased from Germany, she was bred as a serious eventing prospect. Her sire Camaro is one of only two Elite coloured Trakehner stallions. Twice a Young Horse Championship qualifier for the German Bundeschampionate. He is both an advanced eventer and show jumper. His sire, Le Duc was Reserve Champion winner at his performance test with unprecedented scores of 10 for character, efficiency of movement and trot. He scored a 9 in all other categories. A Grand Prix dressage stallion with a performance index of 146, his dam was a consistent producer of Performance Test winners.

Her G.Grandsire, Anduc, a son of number one Trakehner stallion in the World, Marduc was another Elite stallion renowned for producing progeny of outstanding temperament and rideability.

A freak stable accident as a three month old, ended the competition dreams of Charisma's breeders, we were contacted and immediately purchased her as a future broodmare for the enhancement of our existing breeding program. Charisma is tall, powerful and a very impressive mover. She has exceptional conformation being very much of a jumping 'ideal' in the way she is put together, her strength, power and balance.

Her dam is a rare Kinsky warmblood, the incredibly versatile golden Czech warmblood synonymous with the Devil's Race', the Grand Pardubice, possibly the toughest race over jumps ever run.

Her first foal is has been Approved with the Oldenburg Registry as well as Graded AES. He stands in the US and is frequently competing on the Florida circuit.

GFS Illuminati x Dolanda (Ultimo x Wellington)
This is GFS Equinox. He is the third ever horse that I have bred that has completely taken my breath away and fulfilled each and every childhood dream that had always seemed so unattainable. He is a testament to the possibility of hard work, determination and the power of dreaming making the seemingly impossible achievable!
I have rarely posted regarding this dreamboat, partly because I had no wish to attract buyers and partly because every time I watched him,, it was for pleasure and not to take photos!
At two years old, he now stands at over 16.2hh and he has retained the pure, genuine generosity of spirit and gentle demeanor that has always made his so special when coupled with his exceptional physical characteristics. Like his dam, he is hugely athletic, with massive, elastic and expressive movement and with feet that barely touch the ground!
His dam Dolanda was an International Grade A show jumper with winnings in excess of £22,000 having jumped consistently up to 1.40. On the Sunshine Tour she won ten out of her twelve classes.
Dolly was a real powerhouse, a force of nature and an incredible athlete, her feet literally barely ever touched the ground when she let loose in the paddock! As well as her phenomenal jump, bravery and balance, Dolanda moved with exceptional expression with paces that would easily mark her as a horse with real potential between the dressage boards if she hadn't been produced as a show jumper. She was a real heart and soul horse and she has bestowed the very best of her genetics to this very special son.
Dolly was sired by Ultimo (Phin Phin/Burggraaf) and out of a Wellington - Nimmerdor dam. This is a sire who remains high on the index despite not having sired large numbers before being sold to China. He had great success at 1.45 and 1.50 in Austria.
His sire Phin Phin, son of Olympian Chin Chin was a GP stallion with numerous international wins at both 1.50 and 1.60.
Her dam is by Wellington, his dam Patty is by the famed thoroughbred Lucky Boy and is also the G.dam of our own Wantasia! He competed up to Z level in dressage as well as having national success jumping at 1.30.
GFS Equinox's sire is GFS Illuminati whose pedigree is of quite exceptional providence, with ancestors who have performed at the highest level show jumping. He is another of my absolute dream horses and having owned his grandsire, bred his sire and been captivated by their magic, talent and phenomenal temperaments I would have loved to have kept him and produced him. He was however spotted by a very special home and is now in Dubai being professionally produced and aimed at an exciting competitive career.
Illuminati is by our own GFS Eskimo Jo whose Graded Holsteiner dam hailed from some of the finest German jumping lines in terms of both performance and breeding index, with her sire being Corrado I and her dam sire Landgraf out of a Calletto II mare! He is out of our late, wonderful mare It's Magic. Magic jumped successfully to 1.15 gaining 538 points before retiring early with injury.
Illuminati's dam, It's Magic was a remarkable mare of both quality and talent. Graded into the Westfalian Head Stud Book, she is by Hogwart the International Grand Prix showjumping stallion and Westfalian Stallion Champion (Concorde/Voltaire/Nimmerdor) This is a stallion of such quality that he is Licensed into the Belgium Warmblood, Holsteiner, KWPN, NRPS (Dutch) and Westfalian Studbooks. She was out of a Cassini/Caletto mare whose pedigree is steeped in International showjumpers.
Magic was something of a dream mare to own. Aside from her obvious talent, incredible movement and rare beauty, she had the greatest attitude and most generous nature imaginable.
Prior to a retirement prior to actually fulfilling her huge potential in competition, she jumped successfully to 1.20, with wins to BSJA Foxhunter and Notational winnings of £1153 (There are video's of her competing on our Broodmare Page. . This beautiful horse was simply wonderful, with a lovely intelligent, willing outlook. Her loss in 2021foaling Illuminati's full brother was soul destroying.
We are incredibly excited by this young c**t who not only displays incredible manners and a superb attitude. He has real presence, very good conformation and demonstrates exceptional movement, athleticism and huge potential. I think that wherever I go, he may follow!
