*** NOW COLLECTING***

Chocolate tubs are produced in their millions every year, sadly they are made out of a plastic that cannot be recycled at home, so these end up in landfill.

We have found a plastics recycling company in Norfolk who will not only recycle this type of plastic (thus helping to save some going into landfill) but also, they buy this plastic from us-which we will donate to Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, the CVS charity of the year!

We will be collecting the tubs in practice from 1st November to the 31st January 2025

Last week, Lintbells (YuMove) and Protexin released a statement advising of recalls on counterfeit products.

The YuMove recall was put it place by Amazon, after it was noted that counterfeit products were being sold by unreputable sellers, and contained potentially harmful ingredients. Unfortunately Lintbells and Veterinary Poisons are unable to offer advise on any possible symptoms due to the unknown ingredients in the counterfeit products.
If you have recently bought any YuMove products from Amazon, you should have been contacted.
More information can be found on Lintbells website.
https://yumove.co.uk/pages/amazon-faqs

The affected Protexin product is the Pro-Kolin Advanced 60ml with the batch number 134111 and best before date of 12.2026 purchased from Amazon and eBay sellers. Please note the batch number matches a genuine product although the best before date is different.
More information can be found on the Protexin website

Both companies offer the advice of purchasing future products from reputable retailers and to be wary of sellers offering a lower than normal price.

On November 5th around 9.30pm one of our Veterinary Nurses sadly found a deceased dog on their way home after shift.
The dog wasn’t wearing a collar but is microchipped, sadly the microchip isn’t registered.
We initially made contact with the owners after they had called into the practice the following morning. Unfortunately after receiving the sad news we have been unable to make any further contact with the owners.
We still have the dog at the practice and would like the owners to come forward so we can lay them to rest.
The dog was found near to Tatterset Business Park, and is a young adult female black cocker spaniel.
If you are the owner or believe you may know who the owner is please get in touch with the team at Fakenham.
We ask that no derogatory comments are made as the owners are grieving.

Thank you

Remembrance Day

The 11th November is a day dedicated to honoring military personnel who lost their lives in service to their country.
The date commemorates the armistice signed at the end of World War I on 11th November 1918.
Wearing a poppy is a show of support for the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, Veterans and their families.
It represents those who lost their lives on active service from the beginning of World War I right up to the present day.

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.

What started off as a conversation at the beginning of the year during the usual early morning preparations for the day grew into an idea to raise money. A lot of research and planning has gone into today’s journey to London to walk along the Thames crossing the bridges of London.

Due to sickness, injuries, and prior engagements, today’s team isn’t as many as first planned, but it was decided that we couldn’t postpone our fundraising walk any longer. So without further ado meet today’s team completing the challenge of London’s Bridges.

Helen – Medical Registered Veterinary Nurse who is looking forward to eating street food along the way and seeing the history and architecture of the bridges. Helen says she isn’t looking forward to the journey home with tired, achy feet.

Holly – Student Veterinary Nurse has said that she is looking forward to finishing and not really looking forward to the beginning.

Tanya – Patient Care Assistant and organiser of today’s walk, who really isn’t looking forward to all the steps and stairs, but like Helen is looking forward to seeing the architecture of the bridges.

The first leg of the journey begins at King’s Lynn as our intrepid trio head to London.

Keep checking in throughout the day to see their progress.
