It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the closure of paradise.

I’m afraid we havnt been completely honest with you for the last few days, but we needed time to make the decision and process it in private.

We want to thank everyone that has supported us over the last nearly 4 years, We have met some wonderful people and even more wonderful animals 😉

It is a tough time for us all, and we hope that you will support the decision, and respect the privacy of all the staff.

We will be opening our doors for the last time this weekend Saturday 6th April and Sunday 7th April. We will be having a HUGE 50% SALE to go out with a bang, if you can see it in the shop you can buy it! So please come down and grab yourself some real bargains in a time where life is just too expensive. The sale will be cash only.

We cannot thank you all enough without you paradise just wouldn’t have been possible.

The staff have been amazing and have become our little family and we will be forever grateful for all they have done and never forgotten.

So with our last official post we wish you all the best with your futures and we will miss all of our human, furry, feathered scaley friends.

We hope to see you all over the weekend

Which pets need hay?

🌾 When we talk about hamster, gerbil and other omnivorous pets hay is an indispensable filler in every cage, suitable for all types of ornamental animals. Animals can burrow in the dried grass and build nests from it, hay serves as an excellent entertainment for pets.

🌾 As for guinea pig, rabbit and other herbivorous pets - Hay is the main component of the diet of rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, degus, and plays a major role in the process of grinding down their constantly growing teeth. It must be available in their cage at all time.

We just wanted to let you all know that we are extending our opening hours to open at 9am Tuesday - Saturday as the main reason we opened up at 10 was to ensure quality time was spent with rabbits and Guinea pigs however they are no longer here.

Has anyone lost a bearded dragon in the Little Walsingham area??

We have had this bearded dragon brought us due to being found outside in a field.

Big thank you for the the group of young boys for their quick thinking in getting her back to their house and to their parents as they knew she needed help.

Massive thank you to Alisha and Tracey for then without hesitation jumped in the car, collected her and brought her straight here.

We have been slowly warming her up, shes very grumpy but she seems a fighter and we won’t give up on her. The vets are also over the phone supporting us at this moment in time.

If this is yours then please get in touch, she has very obvious physical features which we have hidden in the picture that will need to be described and evidenced she is yours.

We will continue to look after her and do everything we can for her however under my Government Regulated Animal Activities License if no one comes forward within 72 hours she will automatically legally be surrendered under my care.

Let’s pray she hasn’t been abandoned and let’s get her home 🏠

Afternoon everyone

We wanted to let you all know that once our last remaining 6 boy rabbits and 2 male Guinea Pigs find their new homes, we will no longer be rehoming Rabbits and Guinea Pigs.

Care for both these species is forever changing for the welfare of the animal however due to the amount of space required we are struggling to find appropriate homes.

It’s been a great adventure over the last nearly three years however this chapter must close.

We have over two years rehomed 103 rabbits who’s first home didn’t work out and 79 Guinea pigs.

Thank you so much for everyone who has helped us find all these fluffies their new home and who temporarily fostered until we had a space.

I know they will be missed a lot and I hope you understand the reasons for us taking this decision.

Next grand reveal - health and wellbeing room 😍😍

This multi purpose room will be available from the 1st November 2023.

Service 1 - Book the room out and have full access to all equipment. Wash, bath and dry your own pup 🐶

Service 2 - Wash & go services provided by staff at Pets Paradise or a full wash, basic groom, dry and health check by the Paradise Team.

Service 3 - Microchipping, health checks, ear cleaning, Pad trims, nail trims etc

The room is available to all animals including Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs etc

We are aware of the banned groomers list, if this has affected you come and see us. We get every animal is different and we won’t ever judge or refuse reactive dogs - paradise is a safe haven for them.

Online and in store booking will be available soon so watch this space.

Evening all We would officially like to announce the launch of our website www.petsparadisefakenham.co.uk The website has been live for a few months ticking over whilst we got use to it and now feel brave and happy enough with it to put it out there to you all 😅😅😅 It is a massive work in progress still so some areas will be visible but not working and some bits saying coming soon - bear with us as we grow it will too. We have mainly concentrated on the reptile section and suitable large cages across all species. The website is not just a shop, we have added pages for education, updates, news letters and videos / tutorials. We have also teamed up with some great national organisations such as RWAF Rabbit Welfare Association & Fund - they are a great source of knowledge and help us keep up to date with changes in care. Afternoon all 😀😀 We had Jason and Alex from @tipplesbrewery come and visit us yesterday. The showed the college and school work placements how our new brand of dog beer was made and got involved with labelling and bottling. It’s been a great journey to from an idea and designs to getting our first final product. These boys have had an extremely good up bringing and only because of some uncontrollable serious factors are they looking for a new home.
