We have had a dog bought into us after a member of the public found her running down Longdown Road this morning. Please contact our Shortheath Surgery on 01252 891659 if she is yours.

Proof of ownership will be required as she has a microchip but it is not registered.

We have recently had this handsome boy in for a Castration. His owners bought him in for his post operative check with this amazing inflatable collar.

If your fury friend is coming in for neutering, we offer traditional buster collars or medical pet shirts but if you're dog loves donuts like Donald here, we are more than happy for you to bring your own 🍩🐾

As many of you know from coming into practice and seeing our previous posts, our registered nurse Claire had a beautiful old staffy, Floss. Sadly, Floss peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday with her mum by her side and unlimited amount of food (including a cheeky bit of chocolate) 💔

Floss has been part of the Shortheath team for a decade and was part of the furniture. She always knew where her kennel was, never let us forget to give her a lickimat and was always available for a cuddle or walk for whoever needed it. We will all miss Floss lots and work won't be the same without her pitta patta of cheesy feet and smelly farts.

Forever in our hearts 🌈❤️

We’ve had a special guest in today, one of our nurses ducks, Donald. He came in with a wound that our vet Jade and nurse Harriet cleaned and dressed.

Within the team, we came up with different interventions to try and stop him intervening with his wound. In the end our vet came up with a DIY buster collar, we think he looks adorable 🥰
