This little 127g baby came into Roxann yesterday, so far eating well until we get a poop sample 💩
Just kidding!! Meet Braille
Just kidding!!!! 😱
Little 🦔hog this morning, 114g male, covered in pustulated bite marks, lost half a nostril, bitten round anal sphincter absolutely collapsed, listened for heart beat for about a minute, un responsive, couldn’t hear anything, its gums were white pale , genuinely thought it was dead, but thought I would treat it for hypothermia, shock, antibiotics, inflacam etc took, popped it in incubator ,took Rosie to her mates 50 minutes away , got back , now look 👀
Henry XII
Henry 12th was called in this evening after being found on a green about 4pm, he’s again skinny and dehydrated. But receiving fluids and initial meds until we get a 💩 sample 🙏🏽
Chaucer
In comes poorly Chaucer delivered by the lovely finders to my work. But upon seeing how poorly this little girl was, straight away called the wonderful Roxann to come collect her.
So severely dehydrated and wobbling all over the place, acidic burns on all 4 feet (most likely from acid urine/diarrhoea), ticks & nymphs, mites and a probable missing eye 💔 all meds started, and she’s rehydrated and in ICU 🙏🏽
Soggy!!
Look at Soggy go! The ever fabulous Thorne Hedgehog Rescue C.I.C and Lisa took him on as she has an affinity with the poor hoggies with brain injuries. Soggy is up! I honestly didn’t think he’d pull through the first night he came in. But look at him go, still unsure where his story will end up, but certainly looks more positive 🥰🙏🏽
ANOTHER strimmer death
Once again, this poor little soul, Finch, was initially brought in was a limp. Once anaesthetised the extent of a clear strimmer injury that had opened up his belly, chest and all the way to the trachea 🤢💔 covered in live maggots he was high tailed it to sadly be PTS. ANOTHER unnecessary preventable death 😔💔
