We are very lucky at Standard Quay as it is completely dog friendly. Dogs are allowed everywhere. There is absolutely no need or excuse to leave them in a hot car/van for hours on end - only a complete tool would do this. Covering the windscreen with a manky sheet does not make this acceptable.

Dogs die in hot cars - don't do it.

Also, hitting dogs is also NEVER acceptable.

Remember, anyone offering to board your dog in THEIR home or in a kennel environment requires a licence under The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018.

Services offering pet sitting, which involves someone looking after your pet in your own home isn't a licensable activity.

A year ago today I quietly pulled back the door of The Shop terrified nobody would come. My first customer was Jenny. Little did I know Archer would drag her into the shop door so many times her face is now permanently imprinted on the glass!

I remember Kolby coming in on the Friday afternoon & clearing the shelves with his beautiful big black tail. He caused the most wonderful carnage ❤️

I've met so many amazing people & even more amazing puppas & doggos - Big Boy Buddy whose love of extra large Pizzles is the reason I started this in the first place, Fletcher, Thor, Gus, Luna, Bella & Donna, Lemmy, Luna #2, Big Loki, Little Loki, Luna #3, Milo 1, 2 & 3, Griff, Star, Baby Bella who is the happiest girl in town, Koda Bear whose cuddles are like being hit by a truck, Puddin' the Phantom Pee-er, Harlie Bulldog, Harley Rotti & Harley Spaniel, Opie, Arthur & his Welcome Widdle, Big Frank, Big Dave, My Boy Fred, Elsye, Manny, Digby, Dug, Doug, Patsy, Pepper, Dollie, Mollie, Sherlock, Gorgeous George, Pringle, Candy, Logan, Arlo, Storm, Keith & Ralph, Toast, Miss Winnie, Winnie Woo, Rose Matilda, Toby & Hugo, Miss Peach, Stanley, Woody, Woody & Woodie, Norman, Maddie, the Bullie Crew, Roy & Mavis, Ludo, Callie, Rudy, Ruby, Wilson, Ripley, Darcy, Ripley #2, Hank, Cooper, Copper & Chester to name just a few. Thank you all so much for your amazing, continued support. I love that you're all comfortable enough to come & say hello when you're passing without feeling you have to buy anything. I love that you show me photos, tell me stories, ask advice. When I've posted about getting abuse online, you've gone out of your way to come in to check on me - that's pretty heckin' awesome! Thank you for all the coffees in the winter & cold drinks in the summer, for the Swifty bracelets, the cards & medals. Without you, there's no Harley's Place so again thank you so so much - here's to another year 🥂🐾
