At High Paw we are always mindful of the different requirements of each and every pup. Some may prefer to do their own thing, others may want to run around like crazy with their friends, others prefer sniffy games, some prefer a cuddle.
No matter what their preference we will always do our best to ensure they’re happy!☺️💚

Animals are so stoic and pain can sometimes be hard to identify, if you don’t know how it presents. It’s so important we monitor our furry friends for signs of pain so we can get on top of it before it worsens🫶🏻

If you've noticed any of these in your cats or dogs... especially if you've noticed several... please call your vet to have an exam done. Just like we sometimes take mild, daily meds, to help manage our aches and pains, there are gentle pain meds your cat or dog could be taking to help their bodies.

Paying attention to the changes in behavior and mood for my oldest pup is how we discovered she is in renal failure. Acting on the subtle changes is how we caught her weight loss soon enough to be able to ease her discomfort with meds, and change up her diet to slow the weight loss down.

We all want as much time as possible with our fur babies, but not at the cost of them suffering in pain. If your gut, and these signs, make your senses tingle, make an appointment with your vet. Please.
