Nigel, was rescued from death's row but has spent the past year in kennels, waiting for the right family to help him embark on his next chapter. At just 1.5 years old (1/5/23) he is a lovely big dog with a heart full of potential, but he needs an understanding and patient family to guide him.
Due to a lack of early socialization, our big boy can be a bit scared and unsure of the world around him. He thrives in a calm environment and needs to be the only dog in the home, where he can receive the individual attention and love he deserves. Experience with handling large dogs is essential, as he needs a confident owner who can help him learn boundaries and build his confidence.
We are committed to supporting his transition and will provide access to a professional behaviorist to help him adjust to his new life. With the right guidance and a nurturing environment, we know he can flourish and become the loyal companion he was always meant to be.
If you have the experience, patience, and love to offer, please consider opening your heart and home to this wonderful boy. Together, we can help him overcome his fears and show him the joy of being part of a family. 🏡❤️
Let’s give this gentle giant the chance he deserves!

💜🐾Meet gorgeous Oakley. A one year 4 month old bulldog cross possibly boxer. You may remember she came in just over a month ago from the pound after doing her 7 days before given a pts date. We took her in so she didn’t die. She was very emaciated and poorly. But after lots of TLC and regular food she’s back to full health. We feel she is now ready to find her forever family. She has been in foster so learning all she needs to know. She’s good with other dogs but can be a little over zealous so will need to be an only dog and pet in the home. She could live with children over 10 as she may knock smaller ones over in play or excitement. No cats or small furries.
This is what her foster mum has to say about her.
Oakley is a loveable girl. She loves her cuddles and thinks she is a lap dog. She needs a certain home where someone is with her most of the time. She has had a terrible start to life. She will need more training as she has not had anything. She’s quick to learn and once she’s fully trained will make an amazing companion. She does pull on the lead but with the right corrections walks lovely. She needs plenty of physical and mental stimulation so an active home a must. Maybe a couple who love going on long walks or hikes. When in a car she has to wear a harness with a dog seat belt. She eats her food quickly but again she is getting better. All she needs is patience, love and guidance. Oakley is a absolute joy to be with. She loves her toys. She has guarding issues with women she wants to protect them but she is getting better every da
