Good afternoon everyone. Thank you all so much who have donated towards Bailey and Percy’s veterinary fees. So far raised £609.09 of the £941.95 needed. So just short of £332.86 to go.

BUT and a big but. One of our other dogs went in for his neutering and he was found to have a broken jaw. Yes big shock for us at the rescue. Arthur our Dachshund has been beaten so badly his jaw has been broken. We believe as we know how hand shy he is and some of the signs he’s shown that this is possibly a kick to the face causing so much damage. Poor Arthur has been like this for months maybe even a whole year. Vets say it’s not a new injury, this is months with his jaw like that. This injury is on the larger bone at the side of his mouth. He is now on pain relief and soft food for the time being and is booked in for 2 weeks time to have his jaw fixed. This poor boy is so amazing he hasn’t shown any sign of pain, been eating his kibble and treats with no issues and chewing hard chews. Playing with the dogs in foster and even playing with toys. As he is from the pound with no microchip there is no way of knowing what this lads been through or who’s done this to him but from the day he came to us and for the rest of his life he will never have to go through this torture and pain ever again and be pain free.
This is now going to cost us at least £2000-£3000 so we will unfortunately be getting the begging bowl out again to help this boy get the surgery he needs.

Have you ever considered fostering?
Why not start the year by doing something amazing.

Fostering is a great way to save not one but two dogs lives. It gives a dog in need a safe and warm environment to help recover from whatever they’ve suffered previously, gives them security and plenty of much needed tlc. Fostering also helps a 2nd dog because when you foster, that frees up space for another in kennels.
Fostering also helps the rescue by you assessing the dog so we can find the right family for them.
Rescue pays for any vet bills, food and what ever is needed. You just open your home and heart up for an unwanted or neglected dog.
Must be able to get to our vets who are The Animal Trust, situated in Ellesmere Port, Wrexham, Rhyl, Birkenhead, Liverpool, Shropshire and Telford and be able to pick up, drop off and meet and greets at our head office in Dobshill, Flintshire.
Home must be safe and secure, home check will be needed prior to any foster agreement. Can have other pets as long as they are neutered (dogs) and fully vaccinated due to where these dogs come from. We don’t know if they are vaccinated. Depending on the dog who needs foster. Older children who are used to dogs and respectful of them as they maybe stressed or scared and need space. Preferably Fosterers with experience of dogs but not essential. Fosterers who could possibly foster larger breeds too as most rescue dogs are med/large.

Good morning everyone hope you’re all safe and warm in this cold weather.
Sadly one of our gorgeous greyhounds Bailey injured his leg on Thursday afternoon which resulted in surgery Thursday evening. This has cost us £459.94 which has depleted our funds drastically. And little Percy had a dental as he was loosing weight which has cost £482.00. If you could possibly donate just a £1 with so many followers this can be covered. I know we’re all skint but please can anyone help. We really appreciate it.

All our greyhounds looking for their forever homes. Unfortunately very little interest in these amazing dogs. Very easy dogs in the home, don’t need much exercise and would prefer sleeping all day. We’re going through names at the moment to give her a new start in a new year. Once she’s been with us a bit we will put her up for adoption with all her details. She seems a lovely sweet girl. Good evening. Unfortunately we didn’t find a home for Nigel so he spent a 2nd Christmas with us. He came to us at 6 months old on the 16th October 2023. So spent his puppy life in kennels. He was spoilt with a Christmas dinner, plenty of treats, toys and attention. Playing in our field and just being Nigel.
So we are still hoping he finds his forever home as soon as possible. Nigel is a Cane Corso and all his information and how to apply are on our website in the available section.

Happy new year to everyone of our supporters. Thank you for helping us carry on rescuing and helping as many dogs as we can in 2024.
Let’s hope all the greedy breeders stop breeding and the idiots who buy from them stop buying and then abandoning their pets in 2025. Give every rescue a chance of rehoming their amazing pets instead.

💜🐾Meet new boy Peanut. D.O.B. 24/12/21 and a chihuahua cross.
Peanut came to us from a bad situation and was very scared when he 1st came to us. He’s grown in confidence since being in foster with Julia and Mei’s dogs.
Some info from his Fosterer

He is great. A fun little dog. Doesn't like the big dogs, scared of them . Now he has got to know us not worried about hands coming toward him. Enjoys his walks. Difficult to feed at first, I think he was used to having food down all the time and he snacked on it when he fancied. He has had his jabs, but the vets don't feel that the time is right to neuter him.
So will need neutering in couple months time (non negotiable)
He can live with other smaller dogs, older children over 8. No cats or small furries.
