Pics from our last Adventure Day (June13th)
A 10 mile walk around Hatterrall Hill near Abergavenny. I think this was our best yet! Weather was perfect and we saw no one! The hill was full of sheep and horses, but we had the best behaved dogs who didn't put a foot wrong and demonstrated perfectly how dogs should behave around livestock. They all finished their day with a splash in the river.
Thanks to Millie, Reggie, Ruby, Angus, Mabel and Estrella for a fabulous day out!

Next one is scheduled for Friday 11th July, don't leave it too late to book your dog's place!!

With the exception of a few terriers and one collie, all the dogs I walk are labradors or working cockers! They really really want to work, so we do lots of structured gundog activities to keep them engaged with us, and use that engagement and focus to add in general obedience; they can all stop, turn and recall on the whistle. They know hand signals for sit and send. They can roll call. And they can wait on logs!

We took a cheeky midweek day off and had a lovely time with Estrella at 🐎
Walks as normal tomorrow, and then Adventure Day on Friday!! I'm really looking forward to that!!

Dog shows are popular events throughout the summer, and there are plenty happening this year in and around the Forest of Dean.

What a lovely, sunny, dog filled weekend we've had!
Saturday morning training class. Then we were introducing a lead to French Bulldog pup, Lily.
Sunday, retrieve work and scurry training for Angus, Clyde, and Missy!

I'm covering for some of Billie's dogs this week while she takes a break. She covered for several of mine last week while I was away.
So, this morning, I had a fabulously easy walk with 6 spaniels! Not often you'll hear the words easy and spaniels in the same sentence! But they were all pretty awesome, staying very close the whole time, and walking past deer, horses, and other walkers very sensibly! Flossie and Aggie with the Knickknacks gang Flynn, Buddie, Mabel, and young Angus!

This afternoon's walk was with a huge group of nice reliable labs Monty and Finn, Jaco and Luna, Reg, Tessa, and littlies Jake and Missy!

Estrella came on both walks today! She had been struggling recently with some discomfort, so I've been encouraging her to rest at home more. I'll see tomorrow if she overdid it!

Billie here!
I had a small group for my last walk today, so decided to take the bike with them!
With Jaco, Luna and Clyde off lead staying close behind, and little Jake on the bike attachment running alongside we had a fab time! They were all so good, I couldn't have hoped for a better result.
Hopefully they all sleep well tonight as I'm tempted to do it again tomorrow 😁
