Slightly out of area, but always good to be aware of bluegreen algae and the danger it poses to dogs.

⚠️⚠️⚠️ We've just had advice from Public Health to say they've confirmed the presence of bluegreen algae at Loch Garten.

Please keep your dogs (and you!) away from the water in and around this area. Tempting as it is to go for a dip, these algal blooms are highly toxic. Slow-moving or still bodies of water are most prone to developing blooms. You can find more information here:

Wow! What a hot day! 😄
Everyone got out round the nice, cool woods and had water.
Usually on hot days we go down the river for a splash. Yesterday, the rivers trust were spraying hogweed at the river so we gave it a miss !

Phew! It's roasting today! All dogs will be walked for half an hour in the woods cos it's too hot for much else!
