Tim and Jonelle will host a masterclass on all things Team Price telling the story of how it all began and sharing their training tips with you all.

Happy Sunday Morning! In between snow showers we managed a wander around the cross country field 🥶 hoping to have it open for schooling next week as long as the snow stays away! Stay warm everyone!

Soggy Saturday 🌧️what have you all been up to with your horses and ponies? Here at Elsi Equestrian HQ I’m very thankful for the barn where I gave the old girl on the block a bit of a pamper session.
An Irish (version of) clip, followed by hot cloth to get rid of hair and grime finished off with a tail tidy and she looks amazing! At almost 26 Cleo’s not ready for hanging up those shoes just yet! Now if the rain can just go away we can get the cross country field open again! Stay warm and dry 🐎

This is becoming a regular date 😆 apparently on exactly the same date last year the dressage boards and show jumps were safely tucked up for the Winter too!

As we head into Winter the cross country field will be open weather dependant so do keep an eye on here for dates or feel free to give me a message anytime to see if we can arrange a time suitable.

Winter is here and the dressage arenas are packed away but making the most of this weather and the forecast looks good for the weekend so Sunday is a last minute opportunity to get some cross country fun in! Get in touch either through WhatsApp or messenger to book a spot for some fun round the cross country field! 13 fences most can be jumped either way heights from 50 to 90cm, coaching/ supervision by myself fully insured PVG checked and Safeguarding qualified 🐎 slots from 10-3pm **Fortrose location**

For anyone who needs to read this right now….go easy on yourself

I was scared today.

I was scared to get on, scared to walk out the yard because I had a bad ride the day before. One bad ride, and it made me scared.

I didn’t know why. I’ve had 1000 bad rides. I’ve had 1000 falls. I’ve broken bones and bruised my pride on countless occasions, but today I was scared.

Why? Because confidence is fragile. It takes months and years to build and seconds to lose and yet we are so careless with it.

When we get on a horse, we wear a hat to protect our head. We wear body protectors, gloves, boots...

We pay so much attention to protecting ourselves physically, we forget that our minds are not invincible, and our confidence certainly is not.

Your bank of confidence needs regular deposits, not just from others... but from you. Self confidence is the most valuable currency in life.

When you go to get on, and you hesitate, you falter and you start to ask yourself “can I do this?”, chances are, your account is almost empty.

Every time you laugh and say “oh no, I’m no good” or “so and so is 10x better than me”, you make a withdrawal from that account, and before you know it, your account is empty and you’re scared to get on.

But every time you say “I’m really pleased with how that went” or “I think I rode that really well”, your balance increases.

We need to learn to give ourselves a break, pat ourselves on the back and allow ourselves to feel proud of where we are - after all, most of the time we’ve worked bloody hard to get there!

Recognising your strengths is just as important as recognising your weaknesses. Never allow yourself or anyone else to empty that account.

Confidence is valuable, don’t bankrupt yourself.

It’s so good being able to make our own hay here, which means at this time of year we cut tracks in the cross country field. This also helps riders think about lines, approaches AND getaways when jumping. It’s been a busy day strimming and checking the fences over. do get in touch if you have any questions or would like a session I have availability this weekend… and with a drop of rain the ground is 👌🏼🙌

90% of the fences can be jumped safely from both directions and are flagged accordingly most around 50/60/70 some 80cm so perfect for confidence building both for horses and riders 😎
