Located in Gatehouse of Fleet, Dumfries and Galloway, Barlay Mill Lodge is a comfortable, welcoming holiday cottage avaliable for holiday letting all year round. It is an ideal holiday base for a holliday in south western Scotland. The Lodge is easily accessible from the main A75 Dumfries to Stranraer trunk road. Barlay Mill Lodge is well placed for exploring the beautiful and varied countryside o

f Dumfries and Galloway and the sandy beaches of the Solway Firth. Barlay Mill Lodge is a fully renovated, Grade C listed property. The building originally served the attached water mill and provided a drying area for barlay as well as accommodation. The property is shown on Ainslies map in 1797 and was once the family home to the well know Scottish artists of the Faed family.

General information

The Lodge is fully furnished with amenities for self catering. Tariffs are for 1-4 people sharing and include all linen and towels. We can provide a travel cot and high chair for infants. Well behaved pets may be accomodated in Barlay Mill Lodge with prior agreement.
