It's with a very heavy heart I am writing this but please take the time to read our new policy regarding the xl bully ban.
I would like to add we are still able to groom xl bullies as long as the following policy is adhered.
I will need to maintain a copy of your public liability insurance and registration which will be added to our client record system when booking your appointment.
Although I absolutely love the breed and we groom lots that are super soft and loving I must assure for the sake of my business and insurance purposes I must follow guidelines as requested. I know all responsible xl bully owners would of already been making these steps and I am happy for anyone still wanting to come in it's just going to be a very different grooming experience for your dog 😢

XL Bully Ban - Notice to all customers
Considering the government’s recent announcement to place XL Bully type dogs on the DDA (Dangerous Dog Act), we have reviewed our policy in order to widen it to include covering dogs on the DDA.



We will be able to cover banned breeds, subject to them having an exemption certificate.



It is a condition precedent to liability that for any dog which is a banned breed under the dangerous dogs act 1991 and/or as subsequently amended within the united kingdom the following guidelines are strictly adhered to whilst the dog is in your care, custody or control:



1. The dog is registered with the index of exempted dog (IED) and a copy of the life certificate is obtained and provided to us in the event of a claim.



2. A copy of the public liability insurance certificate for the dog is obtained and provided to us in the event of a claim.



3. The dog handler ratio is 1:1 at all times.



4. All guidelines under the index of exempted dogs are strictly adhered to and the dog must be:



i. Neutered



ii. Micro Chipped



iii. Kept on a lead and muzzled at all times



iv. Kept in a secure place, so it cannot escape

In light of yesterdays news - if you own a XL bully you will have to wait until the end of the year to find out how these dogs will be classified previously they would have measurements taken “to see if they fit type” (in the case of Pitbull breeds and this included their crossbreeds) - believe me they can and will seize animals- but - RIGHT NOW -👇

If someone is “lovely” enough to report your dogs as “type” DO NOT sign anything - even if someone tries to coerce you and get yourself on to Save Our Seized Dogs-Putting BSL to Sleep UK for actual lawyers who can help you with advice and how to proceed. loose lead recall on a long line calm around others dogs etc
DONT MAKE EXCUSES - just do it in a humane way so if you have to prove your dogs exempt from the ban you will have done everything required of you to keep your dog with you
