This past week's walks have been a warm one we have been walking in cooler tree areas,
We only walk family units, happy to walk reactive dogs, spending time bonding with shy dogs, happy to do puppy stop bys,

have confirmed Foxhound Welfare UK are one of their chosen rehoming partners for this year's 2024 sponsored dog walk, for every dog and their human we can get to walk, on the 18th May they will donate to us £5, so clear your diary and come along with us for one of our beach walks as the north east has some awesome coast lines,
There's even a chance of fish and chips or ice-cream,
We will be setting off from West hall boarding kennels, walking along to the broadwalk and down the beach front( dogs will have to be on lead for part of the walk on beach as beach rules)
We will have a couple of stalls back at base, with refreshments and a chance to win a couple of raffle prices or a hamper or two,
Any dogs is welcome as long as on lead and fit enough to take part in the walk,
If you don't have a dog and would like to walk one we know of some hounds who would enjoy the day out,

So today is a day to remember the loss of one of the firsts,
This is Penny working KC name" Penny returns most often".
She is the reason for all the rest that followed, she may of been one of our firsts but she showed me a better way for thinking, Training and thinking outside the box,
She was smart beautiful strong willed funny and social,

We said goodbye to her 26 April 2018 at the age of 16 years,
her lessons live on in Every hound and owner I help still, there is little she didn't do to prepare me for life with hounds,
She was my Dumfrieshire out cross Foxhound. we took to do obedience displays, school visits/brownie visits, breed display including crufts and the training clubs stooge dog, and the first blood donor of ours,
She was the hound that wasn't going to start but did and was forever loved for it,
She the reason nothing in the hound way of thinking shocks me,
She hunted for hours at East cram, she meet me back at the van it's where most would know her from, she was never aggressive and came into our lives after being ran over by her owner who thought not to teach her anything, she was carsick, not house trained, vocal, she was my first hunting the clean boot partner before mantrailing was popular and she would give anybreed a run for their money,
she was my first k9 scent dog for missing pets, and we got offered a open check once by a SAR company who wanted her, but she was MINE,
She showed people the hound breed is always what you put into them,, time care and effort and you would see the rewards,
She showed me you had to laugh at life otherwise you would cry and never learn anything,
She had 4 times nearly killing her self, but bounced back to everyone's surprise Inc the vets,
Longest stay in vet was 6 days,
I am still honoured to have had her in my life
And her legacy lives on in every "problematic" dog/ hound I help

Can't believe the only interest these awesome pups have had are time wasters,
3 pups are x breeds, ( malbuls if you like putting names to crossbreeds)
two black girls one brindle boy,
they are 4mths old starting to cut their adult teeth, growing like weeds,
5 weeks argia insurance life time back up , full Vax and chipped ,

I personally hate bonfire night ,
One it's not just a night
Two ,too many supermarkets sell these fire risks,
Three, our emergency services get over run with stupid people throwing them,
Four it's not just our pets that suffer , humans do too wildlife farm animals,
Il be at our rescue kennels comforting dogs that are waiting for their forever families listening to

Our staff will not tolerate abuse down the phone, answering the phone to have angry person shouting "what am I doing your a prick " with out saying hello , we hung off and then when person rang back we sent a text saying not answering the phone to someone who wants to shout down the phone "Prick" apparently dogs where having a fight. If that is the case most people would ring off not keeping ring,

Dylan is a 8 year old gsd who is waiting for his forever home, he's lovely to get out of kennel environment and have some sniffy walks, it also helps keeping him aware of traffic and people passing which he doesn't see while in kennels,
Sniffy walks are just as important as free run, it allows a dog to do what us humans will never truly understand, seeing the world 🌎 by smell.

I've been away on "holiday" if you can call it that with 19 k9s in tow, thanks to the NATB club and crew for having me, especially Cliffy Tea and SJ Tea for all the hard work for this "fun" weekend,
In aid of Foxhound Welfare UK and team Edward lab rescue,
We did have a auction and as usual sj out done her self with a total of. £750
Then kindly daisy made wristbands and raised £25.45
We have a bottle raffle ( alcohol) and raised £128
£389 raised from the Fun relay and fun dog show( which didn't get competitive at all ) and then a further £329.40 from our stall of Preloved and new items, sold out of all the raised beds lol bringing total to £1710.85

Thanks to Maraide Mckensie for putting up with hounds and help with being the next stall holder with Guardians,
I loved catching up with Allan Matthews and Liz Bain and thanks to Roy too, they made the drive to see me while I was in their neck of the woods/ish yes I have ate. At least twice a day sally even got proof lol ,
