On Sunday we hosted our iPET Network Level 3 award in Canine Emergency First Aid ⛑️ 🐶 with students joining our Academy tutor Elise for a day of practical and theoretical learning.

Our first aid course is ideal for pet owners and anybody working with animals including dog groomers, dog walkers, trainers, and pet retail.

My Dog Barber Academy is a student-focused training provider with the aim of helping students realise their full potential. Our tutor Elise has been grooming dogs since 2013 and has delivered dog grooming training since 2019. As a passionate educator, Elise enjoys seeing the transformation in her students, helping them develop their skills and grow their confidence.

Our academy compliments our established dog grooming business. My Dog Barber launched in 2014 from a converted van, and now employs 18 stylists over 3 modern salons. We therefore have the experience to teach students both dog grooming skills and those extra skills needed to work within the industry. Our team of stylists are on hand with support and advice, both in salon and via our business app, and our network of salons are a useful tool for students to gain valuable experience working in different environments.

🚨🚨 My Dog Barber - Academy , arriving early 2024 🚨🚨

You may know Elise as our salon manager and stylist at Low Fell, but you may not know that she also trains dog groomers.

Over recent months, Elise has been working hard behind the scenes so My Dog Barber can become an approved iPet Network training provider.

We will soon be offering dog grooming courses which will enable students to peruse a career within the dog grooming industry.

The academy will also run pet first aid courses which are ideal for pet industry employees and pet owners who want to increase their understanding.
