WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF HELPING RETIRED, EX RACING GREYHOUNDS FIND THEIR FOREVER FAMILIES. WE HAVE RE HOMED 3 IN THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS. THESE DOGS ARE AT RISK OF BEING PUT TO SLEEP WHEN THEIR RACING CAREER IS FINISHED, SOMETIMES DUE TO INJURY. THEIR AGES WILL VARY AND WILL BE SUITED TO QUIET HOMES AND FAMILIES. THEY ARE LOVELY, SENSITIVE NATURED DOGS WHO ARE HAPPY TO LAZE AROUND THE HOME. THEY ARE KNOWN AS ‘VELCRO DOGS’. THEY ARE AFFECTIONATE AND GENERALLY GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS AND DON'T TEND TO BE BARKERS. Another sad day. We had to say goodbye to another of our failed fosters. Wee Horace (Horatio) was too 'feisty', shall we say, to get adopted so was homed within the family. Run free over rainbow bridge wee lion 🌈 ❤️

Wee Elvis has left the building. We had to make the decision to let him go after all his recent health problems. His constant painful ear infections, dry eye, blindness, pancreatitis, likely dementia, possible diabetes and possible tumours with him passing a little blood. He hasn't had it easy lately. Run pain free wee man 🐶🌈💔

So wee Elvis seems to be getting a bit better after 2 weeks. He's trying to bite us (even though he's no teeth at the front) so has a bit more fight in him. He's still inflamed an in pain and will always have pancreatitis. His vet bills have been around the £2000 mark over the past 2 weeks, between normal and emergency vet. The new emergency at shawfield seems to be so much more affordable than the one at charing cross or bearsden and staff were lovely. Just be aware on taking on a pet the potential costs and either have insurance or an emergency credit card/funds for unexpected illnesses or injuries

Poor wee Elvis has been at the vet the past couple of days and has bad pancreatitis. He's spending the night at the emergency vet...get well soon wee hound dog
