Glenbrae Veterinary Clinics Ltd

Glenbrae Veterinary Clinics Ltd The Glenbrae Veterinary Clinic employs a team that is dedicated to the highest standard of service for both you and your pets.
(201)

Glenbrae Veterinary Clinic was first opened in January 1990 by Wendy McGrandles. By 1995 the practice had grown enough to need another full time vet and in 1996 we moved into our extended premises in Bearsden, Glasgow. The practice continued to go from strength to strength and in June 2007 we moved a short distance into much bigger purpose designed premises (double the size of our Baljaffray cllin

ic). In 1997 we opened our branch surgery in Dumbarton, which is mainly staffed by the same staff members as our main Glenbrae surgery ensuring good continuity of cases. Our enthusiastic, dedicated team aims to provide the highest level of small animal veterinary care in an environment that makes you and your pet feel welcome. Our team of vets (ably assisted by highly trained vet nurses) are here to give their best attention to any pet, whether it needs a routine health check and vaccination or an emergency, life-saving operation. Most of our patients are dogs and cats, but we are seeing an increasing number of small furry pets, birds and more exotic species. We keep a detailed medical record throughout your pet’s life as this aids treatment and enables us to ensure the best care for your pet’s well-being. Please don’t be afraid to ask for our help or advice. All of the staff have pets of their own and we understand that your pet is a much-loved member of the family. We always bear this in mind when treating our patients.

Do you know some snow globes contain anti-freeze, which is highly toxic to cats and dogs?

If you accidentally smash one, make sure to clean the spillage thoroughly, and if your pet drinks any of the liquid, contact your vet immediately.

🦷🦷🦷 PIRATE’S TOOTH TROUBLES 🦷🦷🦷

Pirate has been up to mischief yet again!!!!! He developed a resorptive lesion on one of his premolar teeth (a common dental problem particularly in cats) which ultimately caused part of the crown of his tooth to snap off. This was really sore for Pirate and he was very reluctant to eat, so he had to have a general anaesthetic to get the rest of the tooth and roots removed.
After taking a pre anaesthetic blood sample to check Pirate was well, Pearl took X-rays of pirates teeth to make sure no others had to be removed and luckily they didn’t, so she removed Pirate’s problem tooth. Pirate has severe chronic neck pain which flared up after his last dental, so while he was waking up Cara popped some acupuncture needles in his neck to ensure it didn’t flare up again.
Pirate recovered well from his anaesthetic and went home with Cat. The following day Pirate happily ate his soft food breakfast and has been purring away! 🦷 🦷🦷
