Dinner versus snow. Dinner did not win. Bringing his lunch bowl to the back door and shaking it didn't even tempt him.
Enjoying a seasonal treat of air dried pumpkin.
Just home from the evening walk with a happy wee chap :)
First night home a toy was left behind. Fletcher likes to drop it next to the tasty grass then eat the grass. When we call him to us and tell him to bring his toy his selective hearing ignores the toy. We then have to tell him to go and get his toy. This means that he can run back to his toy, ignore it, and eat more tasty grass.
This time round we didn't tell Fletcher to go back and bring his toy. He was poised for it dancing behind us waiting to be told that he'd forgotten it. But we walked on...
Next morning Cam met yellow lab Alfie carrying the toy. Alfie keeps it outside his front door and carries it on every walk like a treasure. Alfie deserves it.
(And Fletcher got a blue toy to replace the green and is ofc using it mainly as a grass eating prop)
Low lighting on yesterday's evening walk, but see how often Fletcher checks in with us. Was the first time we'd walked in that direction and he wanted to make sure he was being a good boy.
Journey home from work yesterday was fairly miserable but this handsome fella met me at the bus stop and walked me to the river <3
Someone is looking forward to their monthly massage.
We were meant to be on a Big Walk at the moment but I tripped and fell just round the corner and Fletcher, bless his heart, said we were to go back home. Played some scent games and (he) rolled around on the grass instead.
Visited Fletcher's central belt grandparents for the first time since covid hit. Walked both ways with plenty of off lead sections. Fletcher had a wonderful time and was doing one of his special happy-Fletcher gaits as we approached home. He sometimes canters at a walking pace but tonight it was the gallop-like walk.
View of Ben Lomond from our end of the village.
Living it up out in the country :)
The first time we walked to a part of the village he recognised we were Very strongly encouraged to take him to see his gran :)
Sniffings have been so good that he's walked into a bin, a tree, and a telephone cabinet, and tripped over a kerb and a piece of sod.
Family air bed squishing. The old one needed a lot of squishing and made fun noises so this one is less entertaining but Fletcher still looks forward to it.
First taste of melon. It's serious business. This was after he'd been mooching at Mum for an hour.
This time last night Fletcher couldn't play with his toy. He felt all weird and dizzy, had to be very careful getting to his feet, and didn't want to be on them. When standing it was important to keep his head close to the ground to keep his balance.
One out of hours Vets Now visit and two doses of ear drops later he was back to this :)
Was weird! His ears are nice and clean and odour free but deep exam revealed redness and some yeast cells. He hadn't been scratching at all and it came on so fast. In the afternoon his pick of the zooplus order was a new rattly moose rather than food and he played with it for ages.
Vet said they had the textbooks out to identify the yeast strain. Very grateful to them for finding the right medication :)
Head tilt can be a symptom of some scary things so very glad it was just a wee infection.
Fletcher walked me home from work today like the gent he is :)
Squirrel ears gotta go.
Was sitting on the floor trying to clear out my desk drawers last night. Didn't get very far. Fletcher stood behind me and kept on slipping his head under my arm and lifting it because he wanted a cuddle. Adorable!
He'd done the same earlier in the day with our locksmith. He was charmed but did I take Fletcher away so he could get on with his work. My desk drawers on the other hand didn't get organised.
