🐾Your Dog, Your Responsibility‼
With the better weather comes busier days at Whitelee, so we wanted to take this opportunity to remind visitors of their responsibilities when walking their dogs at Whitelee and in the wider countryside.
🐶Under the Scottish Outdoor Access Code, dogs must be kept alongside you under close control, or on a lead at all times.
🚴‍♀️🏇🚶‍♂️Dogs must not be allowed to approach other dogs or people uninvited - our tracks are multi-use, so please respect other visitors.
🐦🐑Whitelee is home to lots of wildlife and the farmer has a large flock of sheep grazing in a few areas. It is an offence to allow your dog to disturb wildlife or worry or attack livestock.
The farmer moves their sheep along the windfarm tracks between fields, so please be vigilant at all times.
💩💩And finally - all dog poo must be bagged and binned - even if it's along the track edges and vegetation - children play here! There's no shortage of bins within the busiest areas, and we even have a poo bag dispenser offering free p**p scoop bags at the Visitor Centre entrance to site - there really is no excuse!
