The lovely Rua’s nails were done this evening. This photo shows 2 unclipped nails beside 2 clipped nails. With black nails we have to be very cautious of how close we are clipping to the quick of the nails, as they are difficult to see.

All four of Rua’s paws were done and then the grinder was used to finish off her back paws. She was a little overwhelmed with the front paws so we chose not to stress her further with the grinder on them.

Rua was a little nervous but with some patience and bonding time to build the trust, and with the help of her owner comforting her, we managed to get the job done.

Looking forward to seeing this 12 year old sweetheart again! ❤️

All our new nail clipping and first aid equipment has arrived and the diary is open for bookings. 🙌📔

We have a variety of nail clippers in different sizes to accommodate different sized dogs.

A nail grinder for a nice finish or for dogs who aren’t so keen on the clippers, it gives us a different option to try.

The first aid equipment because it’s always best to be prepared ☝️

First aid certificate can be presented on request.

£15 per dog for the first visit, price may vary for future visits depending on the difficulty level of the dog.

Some dogs may require a little more time on trust building and we promise to be patient with them, as we want their experience to be a pleasant one. ❤️

Due to the red weather warning tomorrow, both walks will be cancelled as it is too unsafe for them to go ahead.

Please make other arrangements for your dogs as it is unsafe for travelling to even do pop in visits.

Due to wanting to spend as much time as possible with her baby boy, Aimee has now stepped down from ownership of the business and the name has also been changed.

Roy will now be running WanderPaws Pet Services.

Wee reminder that the price increase is next week, payments for walks next week are due in today so can all payments be amended 🫶

Unfortunately with the cost of overheads increasing, I have no option but to increase the price of the walks by £1.

I thought we would have been able to keep the price as is until 2025 but if I want to continue providing this service going forward, I have to raise the cost to cover it the increases. I haven’t raised my prices in over a year.

To those who already pay me the extra £1 on top of what I charge, please do not feel the need to increase your payment further. I am grateful for the tips and feel rotten having to increase the price.

The price increase is effective from after my week off, when I return to work on Tuesday 18th June.

If anyone wishes to look for another dog walker, please give me a message and I can recommend others with availability.

I’m really sorry that I have to do this but I am forever grateful for the continued support and use of the service.

As of today I am now officially trained in Canine First Aid.

Due to starting WanderPaws 7 weeks before lockdown back in 2020, courses were difficult to come by for ages and then life has also been busy.

Done now!! 🫶🩹🐕

With Kenai’s 5th birthday approaching I have another competition in mind, after all Kenai is the reason i finally started WanderPaws so what better way to celebrate my boy.

⭐️ NEW WEEKLY DRAW ⭐️

Every week going forward there will be a weekly draw for a bag of treats.

There will be 2 winners each week and all you need to do to enter is have your dog out at least once during that week.

Fair is fair so if you win one week you’ll still be entered the next week, if your dog is booked to come out.

The names will be put on a ‘spin the wheel’ style name draw online and the results posted each Friday evening.
