Dogs are part of the family and join in on our days out too! This was a big ask for a dog to be comfortable in the middle of London. It was loud, crowded and full of brand new stuff.. chilli loved it!!

This we wanted to celebrate how our wonderful autism assistance dogs support neurodiverse children. For children like Jacob an autism assistance dog will be trained specifically to meet their needs to help them feel safe and calm. For him, when a day at school has been overwhelming, Jai-Jayy has been trained to lie nearby or on him to act as his safe place and help him decompress from a stressful day.

Sleek black Labrador Elvis is setting hearts aflutter as he trains to become a life-changing assistance dog.

He ain't nothing but a hound dog at the moment, yet later this year he will hope to complete his training as a life-changing autism assistance dog.

He spent his first 15 months being cared for by puppy socialiser Tammy Marsh from Chesterfield and is currently in the care of foster carer Alicia Townsend from Crookes, who both adore him.
“Elvis is absolutely amazing, a lovely, lovely natured dog who gets on with adults, kids and other dogs, and there is no malice in him whatsoever,” says Alicia.

Tammy is equally enthusiastic about the dog she looked after as a young pup. “I didn’t really want a dog at first, but he was gorgeous and adorable and me and my family were besotted with him!”
