Fun Fact Friday: As much as we might not enjoy the constant sound of our pups favourite squeaker toy, there are multiple reasons why our 4 pawed friends love them so much... Did you know the squeak can trigger their natural prey drive. A single squeak can also give them instant gratification and signifies to them that they have a strong and effective bite. The sound of a squeak to them is prize winning! On top of this, squeakers can provide a great reward when training pups that are less food driven, as well as a fun way to get some exercise and play time with their favourite human. Did you know that playing tug with your dog can help form and strengthen the bond you have and build their confidence. Tug toys are a good form of exercise, can be a great tool in redirecting mouthing habits and training exercises. Not to mention its fun 😁🐾

Mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise, especially for those higher energy, working breeds. Its said that a 20 minute sniffing session is as good as an hours walk, so these snuffle mats are an ideal addition to any toybox. They can also help slow down the fast eaters, encourage younger pups to use their senses and help to reduce anxiety. Simply hide your pups favourite treats or kibble around the mat and let them do the rest 🐾

Welcome to R&Rs Bark Boutique! Handmade toys and games to keep your pups entertained all day... Ive always been a dog person but nothing can really prepare you for the love you feel bringing your fur-babies home for the first time! 1 lab has now turned to 2 for me and they are my absolute world. I loved teaching Rocco new tricks and exploring new places on our walks. Now having added Regan to the mix, just makes it all twice as fun. However, as we all know life can be busy and if yours are anything like mine, they need just as much mental stimulation as physical exercise and crave constant attention. Something I never really considered being a little naive as a first time dog mum. So with this I took to looking for other ways to keep them entertained when I simply couldnt. Now my love of dogs has grown into a passion for finding different ways to keep my babies entertained and more importantly, happy, and something I want to share with others.
