📣Important notice, please read📣

Afternoon everyone, unfortunately 2024 hasn't had the best of starts here at Alex & The Hounds. I suffered an injury to my back just before I was due to return back to work and have had to cancel/reschedule the last 2 weeks worth of appointments 😪

I have begun contacting those affected and would appreciate swift responses as and when you can to help me get everyone rescheduled as soon as possible.

Although I am feeling much better, I know I need to take things slow to avoid flaring my injury up. Due to that your dogs appointments may take longer than usual, thank you in advance for your understanding.

Merlin 🖤🤎🧡 had his first full groom last week. Short back and sides as he had some matting which needed removing, and perfectly timed with this dreadful heatwave! ☀️🥵 he was a wiggly boy to begin with but soon settled down, such a sweet puppy 🥰🥰

Handsome Ace 🤎🖤 had his first groom this morning, he was such a good boy with the dryer and with having his nails trimmed, as long as he got to inspect the nail trimmers in between each nail 😂 such a gentle giant too 🥰🥰

This handsome boy is Travis! 🖤🤎And he came in today for a much needed hand strip.

Travis has been coming to me for tasters once a week, for the past month and a bit, to build him up to his appointment today. He gets stressed quite easily and is unsure of new surroundings. But with a few breaks, a licki-mat and some chicken, we did it! I'm so proud of how well he did, and although we didn't get as neat a finish as we would've liked. The main bulk of his hair has been removed so he'll be cooler for the rest of summer, which is the most important thing! ☀️ Well done to Travis the superstar! 🌟🥰

As some of you already know, my girl Cindy crossed over rainbow bridge last week. We're heartbroken but it was her time and she passed peacefully 💕

To those I had to reschedule appointments with last week, I thank you for your kindness and understanding, it meant so much to me. I will be contacting you today in-between appointments to fit your pups back in.

Badger Bear 🖤🤍🥰

This little man is Badger Bear 🖤🤍 he has been coming to me for short visits, twice a week for just over 2 months now. And the journey he has made has been fantastic! From not even being willing to walk through my door without his mum or dad, to waggling his tail and whining if I take just slightly too long to answer the door, this little man has come on leaps and bounds with his confidence. And it was all leading to this moment 🥰 Badger has been struggling in the heat, and he also had a few small matted areas that we knew needed to be taken care of. It isn't perfect, but the most important thing is that Badger is happy! 🥳🥳 I didn't manage to get a pic of him sporting his beautiful "first groom" bandana, but I wanted to share this video since even though Badger is unsure, he's still coming to me for comfort and reassurance rather than clinging to the door in fear. Had we not spent the time letting Badger get comfortable with me and my studio this would've been a completely different story. I'm happy to say confidently that I have a friend for life with Badger, and I couldn't be more proud of him for being so brave, well done little man!
