Happy Good Friday to our wonderful clients. A quick reminder from Frankie here to not allow your pets to eat hot cross buns this weekend! Other foods that are toxic to dogs include chocolate eggs, fruit cake and cooked bones!

We are closed over the Easter weekend however if your animals are unwell, we direct you to our out of hours provider Animed on 01329 833 112.

Tim and Hayley had the pleasure of visiting a local nursery today to talk to the children about their pets as today is Love Your Pet day! They enjoyed bandaging teddies, pinning the tail on the rabbit, matching animals with their habitats and reading the children a story about their pets going to the vet! Thank you to Good Manors at Miller Drive for inviting us, the children were so great at participating!

⭐️Meet the team⭐️

Hayley Brooks - Student Veterinary Nurse.

Many of you have been asking recently where Hayley has been. Well, she’s been stolen by our nurses so is now out the back! She is officially back on the RCVS register as a student nurse and is on day release one day per week to MYF college studying for her level 3 Registered Veterinary Nurse diploma.
She has a particular interest in rabbit anaesthesia and enjoys nurse clinics with our lovely patients and clients.
Away from work she enjoys spending time with her horses, dogs, cats and bunnies, as well as her partner and daughter. She’s getting married next year so is in full planning mode!

This morning we were alerted by the staff at Leesland School that there was an injured Cormorant on the school grounds. Our nurse Tim along with our resident twitcher Emma went to the rescue. Our Vet Mari examined the beautiful bird, gave medication and managed to release it back into the wild.

The injury appeared to be an old fishing line injury and we would like to raise awareness of this and remind those fishing to take their lines and other materials with them when they leave the area.

Exciting news!! Neighbourhood Vet Gosport are now offering a new nurse-led service!

If your pet is expecting, Tiffany, one of our Registered Veterinary Nurses is now available to perform ultrasound scans of mums-to-be to confirm pregnancy and monitor the growth of the fur babies. General health advice for expectant mothers (non-human!) is also available as part of the service!

Don't hesitate to contact the practice today to learn more - let's keep those tails wagging!🐶

Mari Makko MRCVS

Mari graduated as a vet from Estonian Agricultural University in 2005. To give herself a chance to grow professionally, she moved to UK in 2014 and have been working in different practices and fantastic teams ever since.
2024 started for her by joining the amazing Neighbourhood Vet Gosport team.
Her special interests are dentistry and dermatology but she also has a great passion in helping exotic pets.
At home she has a grumpy old cat called Panthro aka Gimmefood who gives her a masterclass in feline behavior every single day.

We are so happy to have Mari as part of our team!

Handsome Timone and Pumba came in to see our nursing team for nail clips today. Being fairly new to their owner we just did some treat feeding and getting them used to being in the practice 😀
