On the 19th and 20th of December we are having Christmas jumper days. Well humans can do it so why can't dogs! 😊😊😊
Send you doggies out looking as ridiculous as possible in exchange for a £1 donation which will be donated to Drone To Home for all the work they do finding all the lost dogs and making sure as many lost dogs as possible will be home for Christmas 😊😊

Wow what a day!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ super behaved puppies good weather! Beach day number 1 complete the dogs have loved it they have ran splashed played and everything 😀 and all nice and snug in there for the journey home.

This morning we went to visit our friends at splash Doggy. The boys had a great time. Its a safe controlled environment for doggies that love water to swim in and have fun!

If your dogs love water this is something we are going to be organising soon to take the pooches for a swim. It will be charged at £20 a dog and they will sure have fun ❤️❤️ if it's something you are interested in get in touch

Well it's definitely been a wet week this week!! 🤣🤣 had some very strange shades of dogs being returned home 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

If your dogs do have drying coats please leave them out for us to take out with us and pop them on on the journey home for them. After this week I am going to invest in a portable dog washer 🤣🤣🤣 I think it will definitely be worth it.

Beach days 🏖🏖🏖🏖

Looking for woofers who love the beach! We are going to be going for a day trip to the beach at huttoft near Anderby creek.

This will be charged at £30 per dog per visit as it will be a full day out leaving at 9.30 returning around 4pm

Dates To be confirmed possibly towards the end of November. We will only have spaces for 5 dogs on one day so we may run a couple depending on how much interest we get.

PLEASE BE AWARE KENNEL COUGH IS DOING IT ROUNDS AGAIN!
Should your dogs show any signs please let me know as they can't be walked but we will do garden visits with them.

EVEN IF YOUR DOG IS VACCINATED PLEASE NOTE THAT THEY CAN STILL CATCH IT AS KENNEL COUGH IS LIKE THE FLU THERE IS MANY STRAINS AND THE VACCINE DOESNT COVER ALL OF THEM AND IT IS HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS!

Today is PDWA National Dog Walker Appreciation Day so here's a Shout Out for all the wonderful professional dog walkers out there! 👏👏👏💙🐾

“You are just a dog walker!” – we get told this all the time!!!

In actual fact, we are so much more!

We are trusted guardians who bond, exercise and enrich a dog’s life in all weather!

We enable owners to work or socialise with the knowledge their dog is exercised safely if they themselves have no time, energy or are too poorly to do so themselves.

Not just walks ! We provide enrichment and quality time.

We give owners peace of mind their dog’s welfare is paramount and adapt our days to ensure this during inclement weather for example.

We risk assess constantly but if an accident does happen we are first aid trained to look after dogs in our care.

We keep up to date with PSPO’s, Dog Law etc.

We build relationships with our dogs and know their “normal” so we can recognise changes such as tummy troubles, new lumps, different gait or mood etc., and report them swiftly.

We learn as much as we can about canine communication, seasonal hazards, breed traits and find suitable outlets for each one where we can.

Many of us go on to become groomers, pet nutritionists, trainers, behaviourists, pet photographers etc.

We love the dogs in our care. We laugh at their antics, we worry when they are poorly and we cry when we lose them.

We are so much more than “just a walker” and never doubt that.

The week in pictures!!! We've had dry days we've had very soggy days and we've had hot day which meant early water play and garden visits and even some puppy van familiarisation for when he's big enough to join the group walks. ❤️❤️

And we are back!!! Its been so nice to be back at work this week and seeing all your fur babies ❤️❤️ we have certainly missed them and they have missed there friends. Was so nice yo see them all playing together again. We will see everyone next week ❤️

This is why when people as for a puppy to be walked we won't do anything other than garden visits until puppies are older! To us it's not about making money but caring for your 4 legged fur baby like they are our own dogs! ❤️

This is something everyone should see. This xray is of a 2 week old puppy.

When you get your 8/10 week old puppies, please keep this image in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

But when you're letting puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown - around 12-18 months depending on their breed, you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.

So today the van has had its summer clean all washed disinfected and the new memory foam bed have been put it! ❤️❤️ all ready for us coming back to work on Tuesday! We have missed our 4 legged friends and are really looking forward to seeing them all!

What a nice week we have had. No waterproofs or wellies in sight this week! Soke early morning walks to beat the heat and lots of water play!! ❤️❤️
Bit of a sad week this week as we said goodbye to 2 of our amazing 4 legged friends they will definitely be missed 😢 but we wish them all the luck in there new home! ❤️❤️

JUST A REMINDER WE ARE NOW OFF FOR 2 WEEKS!!! We hope your fur babies behave and don't miss us too much and we will look forward to seeing them all back out with us from the 29th. So we have just had some new memory foam waterproof custom made beds to fit in the van ready for winter!! ❤️❤️❤️ they are even in company colours! Thank you so much to The Spanner House can't wait to get them in the van 😊😊😊😊😊 we like to look after your pooches and them travel in style!

Rather quiet week this week with it being the first week of the summer holidays! But nevertheless all the puppies we have had out we've made sure they have had fun and friends! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ we also did something a bit different and visited our friends at splash Doggy with some of our pooches they had a fantastic time!

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO US!!!!! We are officially a year old!!
What a year its been. To deciding to start dog walking 2 or 3 days a week to working 5 days sometimes 6/7 days a week with 2 extra people helping me and purchasing a van so we could grow more!!
It's definitely not been an easy ride and there has been times I've felt like giving up but I'm still here and going strong and absolutely love my job! It was the best decision I ever made.

I WOULDNT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO IT WITHOUT THE HELP OF YOU GUYS AND ALL YOUR LOVELY 4 LEGGED FRIENDS THEY ARE ALL A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH!!

I JUST WANT TO SAY A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU WEATHER ITS BEEN A ONE OFF WALK REGULAR WALKS CAT SITTING OR JUST RECOMMENDING ME TO OTHERS BECAUSE ITS YOU THAT HAS BUILT MY BUSINESS IN TO WHAT IT IS TODAY!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This week we have said goodbye to some of our dogs for the summer holidays and we've said goodbye to one boy who is moving! But hoping to see him very soon when he comes to visit him grandma!! ❤️🐕
