Stretch and Flex - Sarah Marlor Veterinary Physiotherapy

Good Morning Everyone,

As some of you will know my iPad gave up on me earlier in the week, and I’m currently waiting for a replacement to arrive. Admin day today , typing up all the notes from the past few days on my very very old laptop. So whilst I’m waiting (a long time!!) for it to turn on, I thought I’d take the opportunity to do an update for you.

In clinic appointments are working brilliantly (I hope you all agree!) and the clinic is allowing me to provide an even more holistic service, as well as being able to help even more of your lovely dogs. In line with this I am unfortunately having to change my pricing structure for canine and equine appointments.

New Canine Prices are below and apply to appointments at our clinic in Great Ponton only:

Canine Initial Assessment and Physiotherapy Treatment - £55
Canine Follow Up Assessment and Physiotherapy Treatment - £45

Any use of the underwater Treadmill as a part of these sessions will be an additional £20 per appointment.

I am planning to continue to provide mobile appointments, but these will now be subject to an additional fuel charge for all appointments.

1-15 miles (ZONE A)- £5
15-20 miles (ZONE B ) - £10
20-25 miles (ZONE C) - £15
25-30 miles (ZONE D) - £20

New Equine Prices are below and all yard visits will also be subject to an additional fuel charge (as above). Appointments at clinic are possible if this is desired.

Equine Initial assessment and treatment - £65
Equine Follow up assessment and treatment (Only applicable if I have seen the animal in the past 6 months) - £55

For all current bookings, my old prices will be honoured. Any new bookings will now be subject to the new appointment prices with immediate effect.

Mobile appointments are currently very limited and at the moment I am operating a 4-6 week waiting list for new clients.
Any current clients I would appreciate booking appointments in as much advance as possible to avoid disappointment.

Hettie had her first proper go in the treadmill to aid in her strengthening programme after a period of rest for a recent injury!

Bella started her week with her first session in the underwater treadmill. 😍
Bella has been seeing me for a while to manage some lower back pain, but more recently has had an injury and has had to be on strict rest.

She had now shown such good improvement with her owners careful management, and some low level laser therapy to help push the healing along more quickly, that she is ready to start the hard work of strengthening.
Her owner has gone away today armed with a home exercise plan and we are going to start with some weekly sessions in the underwater treadmill to improve her posture and movement as well as building muscle mass. Well done Bella! 💪🐶

Handsome Acey relaxing into his Low Level Laser Therapy treatment this morning.
This is an important part of his conservative management of Bilateral Cranial Cruciate Disease.

In appointments we focus on treating pain and inflammation through both stifles, and promote muscle building in the surrounding musculature, as well as treating secondary issues such as back muscle soreness and increased tone through compensating muscles (such as in this photo) which compensate for his adjusted posture.

Congratulations on your retirement Julie! I have loved working with you over the past few years. I am looking forward to my new venture- thank you so much to you and Tom for all of your support. I have very big shoes to fill!

This is Dylan, the little boy who changed my life. It was because of his severe hip issues that I trained to start my hydro business. For the last 10years or so I have had the immense pleasure of helping so many dogs with varying physical problems, learning so much along the way. Today, I have retired and the wonderful Sarah Marlor (www.strechandflexvetphysio.com) will be taking over the treadmill from next month and I know my clients will be in safe and brilliant hands.
Thank you all for your support throughout this amazing time of my life. The biggest thanks of all must go to my husband, Tom, who has encouraged, supported and then joined me in this endeavour - he is truly amazing.
