Great Eccleston shoe making schedule
Judge -Ben Coy AWCF
Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th July 2024

Class 1 - 1st & 2nd year Apprentice -£20
50mins to make 1 front and 1 hind shoe to the judges specifications
Class 2- 3rd &4th year Apprentice -£20
50mins to make 1 front and 1 hind shoe to the judges specifications
Class 3 - Open shoe making -£25
50mins to make 1 front and 1 hind shoe to the judges specifications
Class 4 -Therapeutic-£25
50mins to make 1 front and 1 hind shoe to the judges specifications
Class 5- speed -£25
1 shoe to the judge’s specification in 25mins
Class 5-eagle eye -£15
30 seconds to look at the foot 15mins to make an unclipped hunter to fit

Classes 3-5 are open to apprentices and qualified farriers
Prize money 1st-3rd placing
Fires and anvils provided
Own tools needed
All competitors must be on the show ground for 8:30am and once in vehicles cannot leave until after the public gates have closed at the end of the day
Anyone needing to leave before then must park on the public car park and walk into the show ground
Classes will be split across both days

Anyone wanting vehicles/caravans on the show ground behind the tent please note all vehicles must be on by 9am and can’t leave until 5pm. There is strictly NO vehicle movement between these times.
