Loki went home today!
So after 6 months in our care, Loki went home today! 6 months is a long time to leave your dog to be looked after by someone else, it’s a nice feeling to be so well trusted with this lad, knowing how much he means to his owners. But unfortunately, when the army tells you to be somewhere, you go, so Loki has had a great time with us these past 6months, but I’m sure he will be much happier to be home and no longer having to share his toys and attention with other dogs! He’s learned a lot while he’s been here, he’s better with dogs than he has been before, he’s more confident in how to interact with other dogs, whether that just be leaving them alone or having a play with the dogs he knows! Something that has taken him a long time to come around to! His recall is banging! Emergency recall is flawless. And now he gets to go home and Mel is going to get into dock diving with him! Which I think he will thoroughly enjoy! #dogswithjobs #doglife #dogsofinsta #doglover #dog #dogsofinstagram #doggo #armygirl #deployed #cominghomesoldier
Last day!
So Loki has been here with us now for 6months! He arrived here just after the new year, and tomorrow he goes home to his owners! They’ve been away on deployment with our forces over seas and so we’ve been entrusted to their gorgeous boy while they’ve been away! He has been an absolute diamond to have around these past 6months! So now Loki is heading home, I’m available for more pet sitting duties! So drop us a message to get booked in!

Walking your dog should be easy!

Today we took Até and Gunner to Weelsby Woods, very busy, lots of kids, lots of people and most importantly, lots of dogs! Até we did blinds in a spot that was a little more out of the way from everyone, but there were loads of dogs running around in the distance. And afterward took her for a calm cool down walk as well as working on her ability to walk around in public safely and under control. While Gunner has come up a bit lame, I suspect he’s got a slight strain from running on the hard ground we’ve had over the past few days, so he’s on rest at the moment, so he got chance to practice walking calmly on the lead and ignoring distractions, which included walking past quite large crowds, off lead dogs chasing balls, puppies attempting to run up to him, but I caught the loose dogs running towards Luke and Gunner, so Luke and Gunner could carry on without having to deal with a dog rushing up to them.
This was an incredibly difficult environment for both dogs, lots of distractions but both dogs displayed plenty of control, and honestly, they behaved beautifully and I really couldn’t have asked any more of them.
