In 2010 I was given a gift of some synthetic fur, eyes, ribbons and buttons, and a pattern for a very large bear. I hadn't made one since I was a young girl and it all came back to me. I began Boolouroo Bears and this has since become Boolouroo Zoo; a place where mohair comes to life.

Boolouroo Zoo creations are all one-of-a-kind originals, made to a very high standard using German mohair. The patterns have developed over the years and are my own design. I use a combination of hand and machine sewing to get the best effects and they are fully cotter pin and disc jointed. Each is distressed and weighted to give that 'old bear' look and feel.
