🎄On the 12th day of awareness my vet said to me “don’t let festive treats turn into an emergency”🚨

The 12th holiday hazard is onions, garlic, shallots 🧅🧄

Onions, garlic, shallots can all cause stomach irritation and lead to red blood cell damage. Be careful when sharing your Christmas dinner with your furry friends, some foods are off the menu 🐶🐾

The 11th holiday hazard is pot pourri ⛄️

Pot pourri is toxic to dogs, if your furry friend ingests this it can cause gastrointestinal problems 🐶

🎄On the 10th day of awareness my vet said to me “don’t let festive treats turn into an emergency”🚨

The 10th holiday hazard Christmas Decorations 🎄🎁

Decoration hazards include Christmas trees, glass baubles, tinsel, fairy lights and salt dough ornaments. 🎅

Christmas decorations can cause lots of upset, from vomiting and diarrhoea to a internal blockage 🐾

🥧 Mince Pies are our 9th Holiday Hazzard

Many festive foods including traditional mince pies can pose significant risks to dogs during the Christmas season they may smell tempting to your dog but they contain dried fruit that can be highly toxic. ⚠️

🍇 Dried Fruit is our 8th Holiday Hazzard

Grapes, raisins & sultanas are found in many holiday recipes, and are known to cause severe kidney damage when ingested. Symptoms of toxicity include vomiting, loss of appetite & diarrhoea. ⚠️

The 7th holiday hazard is Alcohol 🥂🍻

Alcohol is poisonous to dogs, if a dog consumes alcohol they will experience vomiting, diarrhoea, difficulty breathing, tremors and some cases are fatal 🐶

Always remember to keep sneaky paws off 🐾
