Our progress with Grinch 💖
15 days under our care and we finally touch him.
We waited for this moment patiently, this is not a classic petting, this is touching with the top of fingers.
Just for his terrified little body to feel human touch after so many years spended in misery.
You can notice his eyes, he is cautious, he still don't know that he can trust us. Trust is something that we are building from the day we took him.
People avoid him because he was aggressive, dirty, matted...
All he was really needed was someone to give him a chance 🥰
We found him, he found us.
Together we will create normal relationships between this dog as a pet and us as his saviours 🔗

Little by little, baby steps with adult traumatised dog.
Day 12. with Grinch.
We work all the time with him and the progress is more than visible.
The most important thing was him to understand that we are not the bad guys, we are not cruel ones, out hands never hit, our voice never yell.
After 12 days he understand that, in his eyes fear slowly dissappear, instead fear, curiosity take a place.
We work with him, but he work with himself also.
He have his own internal battles, want to approach to be petted, but it's not to sure that he will not be hurt.
So he approach and goes back, many times, come and go.
He will sniff our hands, looking for a snack, and return immediately in his bed.
His bed is his safe space. We are very proud that we provide him safe space, like a starting point for a new life.
Grinch is our test, where we will show what we learn during all this years working with all kind of dogs.
Grinch now is our most important resident who get all the attention, love and care.
We have knowledge, nerves, time and desire.
We are together to the moment when he will crush his own barriers and will allow to fell like he deserves from the moment he was born.

We need it only 9 days to transform Grinch the beast, into Grinch the bribery one ❤️
Little hot dog each day, little snacks, little low voice and gently approaching and he stop growling at us. He is eating from our hands, but still don't allow to touch him.
We think that we are half way there...
He need to understand now that we are the good guys, we will wipe all the traumatic memories, and together we will create now, beautiful ones.

Taking Grinch from the street was "easy" part.
Hard part was to provide him safe space.❤️
When we arrive we put him in a cage, together with other dogs, but still separate from them.
He had blankets under himself and we were thinking that it would be easy to change it.
We were so wrong.😔
After so many unsuccessful attempts, we start to think how to provide him more space just for him.
He don't allow to put a leash on him to walk out, he don't allow to approach him...
Since he is living with 11 other dogs now, we wanted all of to be safe.
We don't have enough money to buy materials to build an improvise kennel, so we used some materials that we have it before.
Grinch need to be isolated until he figure it out that we are here to help him, not to hurt him.
It's so hard to watch him from a distance, he watch us how we pet other dogs.
We will not put a pressure on him, we respect his personality now, because pressure will be unproductive.
We created safe personal space for him, where he had his own bed, own food and water bowl, something that he didn't have for years outside.😔
Grinch we are here to help you, we have all the love and time in the world for you.
We will not abandon you, we will not yell, we will not hit you.
We will sit quietly, patiently as much as we need.❤️

We saw a posted photo of a matted, homeless dog.😔
We thought that it's gonna be nice if we make another good deed in this year.
We thought that it's gonna be easy, take him, clean him, groom him, remove all the dirt and matted fur which was like a shell on his little body.
We were so wrong...soo wrong.😢
This dog is a sad image on our society. He was neglected for a long period of time.
Dumped on streets, hungry, thirsty, he only learn how to defence himself and show aggression.💔
We can only imagine how much he was beaten from people, biten from other dogs...to become so agressive
How much he suffer in this condition, not being able to scratch himself, dying from hot in summer, being cold now in winter (since this fur was all wet from rain).😔💔
This dog is a essence of fear and aggression.
This dog have broken spirit, but he choose to fight, not to give up.
He still don't know that he is fighting with someone who try to help him.
But he will learn.
He didn't become like this overnight.
We will need to work with him for weeks, maybe months or years, until we are able to touch him. To pet him. 😢
This dog is a results of irresponsible owners, of ignorant people who walked by him, looking at him for a long time, not trying to help him.
Until now!!!
During all this years in rescue, we can say that we meet such a different dog personalities.
But not like him!
So it's gonna be a true challenge to us also, it will be a hell of a job, but the reward will be huge.
Another life saved.
His name will be Grinch, you all can guess why.
We noticed that he is neuter, which indicates that he had owners once. But by condition on his fur it's like he was abandoned for a long period of time.💔😢

Luna, French bulldog, was surrendered by her owner, after living whole life with her mother Kala. Only two of them.
We had them both, but unfortunately Kala passed away after a year spended under our love and care.
In meantime Luna made friends in our shelter, who help her feels less lonely after her mother passing.
Luna is 13 years old now.
Sugar granny, blind Pekignese was left from her owners in a public shelter. We took her immediately, knowing that she wouldn't survive living in a cage, all alone.
She is approximately 17 years old.
Many times Sugar granny will snuggle with bed with Luna, allowing her to lick her and make her feel safe.
Both of them were abandoned, both old, both fragile.
But they create special bond, bond which is visible only in animals, who are totally different than people.
We have a lot to learn from them.
After spending whole morning outside, now while is raining, two of them will snuggle under air-condition, in warm bed to sleep together.
This is a proof of love ❤️

Look straight in her eyes, you will find the answer.😢
Her eyes are mixture of betrayal, fear, devastation...
You know why?
Because her owners, people who she trusted, those who needed to take care of her...DUMP HER FROM THEIR CAR!!! 😡😡😡
Dump her, in the middle of nowhere, like a piece of trash. Like a used paper that they don't need it anymore.
Like she is not a living being, like she is not a loyal dog, who probably would risk her life for her family.
Dump her on a street from a car, in a village, outside of town. Where there is no much people, probably far away from her home, so she couldn't come back if she want. 💔😢
Look at her you idiots, look how scared she is, how she want to find a way out from our room, find a way to you, not knowing that you cut away her from your life.
You miserable subhuman, did you ask yourself how she going to survive on a temperatures below zero? Outside?
You ask yourself did she gonna be able to defend herself from local territorial dogs who will attack her in a minute?
Did you ask yourself are she gonna know how to avoid cars when you dump her on a highway? 💔😡
How you gonna sleep at night knowing that the dog who wag her tail when she saw you, dog who love you unconditionally, probably would die if we didn't took her?

In meantime, welcome Gina girl. We will show you what true love means. We will heal your wounds, we will learn you how to love again, we will spoil you and give you all possible love and care in the world. Because every dog need that, but those with broken spirit, need double.
We will give our best for you to forget that betrayal, and to learn how to trust again.❤️
She is safe now, we will wait few days before we go to the vet. She is very anxious and scared, we don't want to push her to her limits.
