So here’s the face of the embedded collar cat from yesterday. We know as much as that he had been in that condition for at least a minimum of 6 months. The lady trying to help him had been trying for that long to catch him.
Can’t imagine the pain he must have been in 😢

We’ve named him Ozzy as he came off the streets of Aston.

He’s got a long road ahead of him with the hopes that his wounds heal well.

Today we had the downside of rescue. A cat was dropped off to us. His collar was embedded in his neck, the smell was vile.

This poor thing how can it live like this, how long has he suffered?

We took him to the vets immediately. It doesn't look great, or hopeful sadly.

They have sedated him and we will post an update later.

Again we will do what is right for the cat, that's all we can do, that is what it deserves.

++ Update just after I posted
Vets have sedated cat, removed collar that was trapped around leg and neck, they have cleaned it best they can. Believe some nerve damage and may still have to lose leg

Following a request for help we saw on Facebook we have picked up this cat in desperate need for help after someone caught it. We have established that it is a..

Neutered male
Not chipped
Older
Could possibly be cancer on the nose or infection we’re treating as the later at the moment with antibiotics
With plans to give a few days rest, food and love and then reassess with vet visits, bloods and see where it takes us.

At the very least he's got a chance, he will know love and care and good food for a while.

Boo (previously tumbles) getting ready for Christmas sending her letter to Santa.
