Just when the end of the year couldn’t get any worse, we had to say goodbye to the legend of Nanuke 😭💔

He’s been very unwell since Roman passed. He just deteriorated, lost a lot of weight and was refusing to eat. His body has been through a lot these past 13 years so I think it was just his age and his body shutting down. I was almost keeping him til Friday but he gave me “that look” last night. Poor boy was just ready to go and went very peacefully.

I met Nanuke back in 2011 as a client to begin his puppy visits. I still remember going to the meeting and he was practically bouncing off the walls. This mischievous wee Husky baby! It was love at first sight as I always dreamed of having a wolf like dog. Not long after we met he joined the family 🙂

He’s been an adventure to say the least! We’ve been crazy walks, hiked Munro’s, sledging, dog runs, wild camping, shared a home with the best brother and sisters, weekends away, canine college, doggy dance classes, walked and played with all the Pearly’s Pooches and not to mention his many vet visits for getting up to no good! 🙈

He certainly made a name for himself at the Julie Innes Vets for his first antic of swallowing a tennis ball whole. The team and especially Julie herself have just been amazing from start to finish with him and will forever be grateful for the job they do. ❤️

It’s a very quiet household for Miss Ivy and we are all missing our boys terribly. I hope they are together with Bo at rainbow bridge 🌈
Will miss you my handsome boy, I’ve learned so much from you. The bestest pal I could have asked for 💙
