Ryeside Verano Aged 9, what an amazing ram he has been and a huge cuddle monster, we fear this maybe his last winter with us as he has slowed down alot, lost condition and has got some arthritis in his hind legs, we have brought him back home to feed and house him on a night to keep him comfortable until the time comes, however there is still plenty of life in the old ram yet, he definitely knows it’s tupping time 🤣

Not so little anymore, Utred and Cristiano are really coming on, both looking for new homes.

Our Veteran ram Ryeside Verano, he turned 9 years old in March bless him, our first tup lamb who started our journey with Ryelands and the best boy ever, sire to both our rams who have taken over from him 💙🐑 think this will be his last summer with us due to him becoming stiff in his old age so hopefully it’s a good one ☀️

This sheep turning crate is an absolute god send for trimming the Ryelands feet, each girl weighs around 60kg and the rams near on 80kg, definitely saves on the back

Finally after a weekend of no rain we managed to get the sheep sheared, think they a feeling better for it, nice to see what’s going on under the wool too condition wise, think we can safely say the Ryelands have come through winter very well 🤣

Sad to say goodbye to the gorgeous Ryeside Archie today, having owned him since he was a lamb he has gone on to provide us with some cracking lambs over the years, sadly due to retaining many of his offspring we’ve had to make the decision to move him on and hopefully he will go on to serve his new ladies well. We wish his new owners all the best 🐑
