Well Kern was very chatty with Sally today 😆

When we had the June heatwave Kern was uncharacteristically itchy. It calmed for a few weeks then started again, so for this Bioresonance session, Sally used a deep allergy program. This program focuses on pathogens, regulating the immune system, mental and physical stress and more.

We are now finished at the shop, we do really miss all our regular customers 😧 We want to stay in touch with canine related aspects and are in contact with a number of canine professionals. We are hoping to provide workshops/seminars on various topics, such as Functional Characters, Getting started with raw, DIY raw...

📣 Well, some positive news! I was contacted by a completely different party a couple of days ago about stocking raw. After a lovely chat with Michaela and Ben and some liaising with Yorkshire Raw Feeds Posh Paws Harrogate will be getting a small amount of 1lb/454g and 3lb/1.3kg minces to trial. Delivery is due mid week next week 🐾

Not forgetting our feline friends, they have taken our remaining stock of PurrForm and are considering stocking this brand 🐈‍⬛

This is going to be a great opportunity to support a family run, independent business 👏🐕🐈

Well, the absolutely stunning Tilly dropped by today; gleaming, beautiful, field trial winning black labrador 😍 She very kindly brought Tom, founder of Ocean Raw , to pick up a couple of our freezers. Ocean Raw is a supplier, they set up the raw side of their businesses last year, website below. I will be getting some for Kern to try 🐾

UPDATES:

SHOP
Re someone taking the shop on at a different location. I've had loads of people this week asking me for an update; apologies, I just don't know. I have collated information for them, spent a number of hours with them, given them a great start up offer regarding equipment, but no information received as to what is happening. I've given all the help I can 🤷‍♀️ I'm now having to try to sort out removal of several large freezers in the next few days. If anyone is interested in a freezer or has any suggestions please contact me (update Freezers all sold).

People have had difficulty ordering directly, I have been able to get some. This due tomorrow or Thursday. I will open Friday 5-7pm, but will post to confirm this when I get the delivery.

Apologies, no update as yet if anything is going ahead with the shop moving to a different site under different management; however, there are now several interested parties, so fingers crossed that raw provision will continue in the Harrogate/Knaresborough area with someone🤞

WE ARE CLOSING DOWN

The reasons:
• Major electrical works are due to start on the whole site at Dragon Court Business Centre and within each of the units. We have been informed that it will take months to complete, this could therefore have a serious impact on our business.
• Our 5-year lease has ended and the new lease terms that have been presented to us are not beneficial for the progression of the business. We are currently on a month to month mutual 1 month notice and this point has been highlighted to us.
• No suitable alternative unit has been found in the Harrogate area. One unit viewed a couple of weeks ago had an electricity contract with a kWh rate that was more than double what we are currently paying! Other units available are in the wrong business class use and would require a change of use application.
• The UK financial situation is very unstable and this is having a serious impact on profit margins for everyone in the raw dog food business chain. It also appears to be affecting business decisions being made by some suppliers and these have been detrimental to the potential growth of our business.

To avoid any silly gossip (if that actually is possible 🤨)…Canine Raw & More is not a limited company. We set up without any loans, we own everything in the shop; the freezers, air con unit, display units, even the POS (Point of sale) equipment. We are choosing to close as it is the most sensible option given all the above factors; it is a head, not a heart decision. Bowcliffe Dog Enrichment Park, which we own, is not affected and will continue as normal.

Having spent so many years promoting the benefits of raw, we are keen for raw feeding to continue to be available to dog owners in the area. We have been in contact with an interested party, who would potentially be in a good position to provide raw feeding products within the area. This would be fantastic; we will keep you updated on this.

Between now and 1 June we will be open our normal opening hours. Apart from American Express, we are still accepting card payments and cash. From 1 June we will be winding operations down and will keep people informed of opening hours and stock levels.

Tomorrow we have a Dougies delivery with whole fish, bones and a top up of various minces.
