Today, I was lucky to meet Lily.
Lily is a labmaraner. She is 9 y-o.
She has been really well cared for. She is fit, does not carry extra weight. She has regular training sessions focusing on motion and balance. She has been seen as a prevention multiple times by a Mctimoney chiropractor (who sadly had to relocate). She came to me as she seemed a bit stiff on one of her hind legs. Despite having a few restrictions in that area that I adjusted (that might or might not be due to osteoarthritis) Lily felt amazing. We discussed what treatment could be good for her in the future and Lily's owner was sent a report to share with her vet should Lily needs to consult them.
It just convinces me even more how important a team of professionals help to our pets wellbeing!
EVEN if all feels good, do get your pet check! It can only help in the future :)

Beautiful Gina's before and after in slow motion.
Gina is a 15 y-o companion. She is just doing some groud work to build her confidence after being recently rehomed. Her owner noticed Gina is quite stiff on her back quarter, although it has already improved with pole work.
There is no recent history of chiropractic care but Gina loved it once she got used to the big box.
Gina's neck had a few restrictions which I suspect led her to tilt her pelvis slightly.
On the video on the left (before), you can see her left PSIS ( highest point of her pelvis) looks higher than the right one.
After the session, there is still a bit of asymmetry but it has already improved :)

After firing the mechanoreceptors of Gina's spine with gentle thrusts where I could feel restrictions, her nervous system should re learn to work more symmetrically.

A few more sessions and I am confident a great progress in Gina's stiffness will be observed.
Work in progress...

A new blog about kissing spines in horses. I felt like I had to look into it after one of my patients was diagnosed with it this week.

One on my patients has been diagnosed this week with kissing spine, so I decided to look into this condition and investigate how chiropractic, osteopathy and physiotherapy can help. I have to say there is very little literature available. Most if it is around the surgical treatment of severe cases
