Heavy Horse Shoeing Demo. Have you ever wondered what goes into making the shoes to fit these magnificent animals? Elliot Ticquet Farriery will be putting on a demonstration for the public at our Essex Heavy Horse Show 2025 and will show you exactly how its done. We also have a best shod/foot competition that runs through the day, every horse in the ring is judged and the best shod/foot horse from each class wins a rosette, each winner is then considered for the overall best shod of the day.

Another set of handmade shoes on my very own little driving cob. Reverse checked heels behind for lateral support due to his slightly base narrow conformation (making it harder for him to pull uphill) which was an instant fix for him👌
