We are thrilled to share that we had our first dog in for daycare today, and his name is Cracker ✨

Cracker joined our group walk this morning and had a blast! He even took a swim with the other dogs to cool off in this heat ☀️💦

After the walk, Cracker enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the garden, soaking up the sun with Arlo and Ace. And of course, there were plenty of cuddles on the sofa ❤️

We’re so happy to have Cracker join us today and can’t wait for more adventures with all our wonderful dogs! 🐾

Our first Wilderness Walk! 🌳

Buzz, Blue & Nelly had a blast exploring Havant Thicket this morning, sniffing new scents, and exploring the fresh air. My two boys also joined in on the adventure! 🐶✨

We hiked through beautiful trails, splashed in muddy puddles (yes, even still in July!!) and even spotted some wildlife along the way 🦌🌿

Seeing the dogs so happy and full of energy was truly rewarding. Can’t wait for more adventures like this! ❤️

We have openings for group walks Monday through Friday, with both morning and afternoon slots available. Regular and ADHOC options are offered.

Rain or shine, our hour-long walks on Hayling Island are perfect for your pups! Plus, we have exclusive access to a secure field for some extra fun.

Our pick-up and drop-off service is included, using our van equipped with a secure crate system to ensure your dogs' safety during transport.

Your dog will join our small groups of up to 4 dogs, and leashed dogs are also welcome.

💥Introducing Wilderness Walks at Cottle's K9s!💥

Feel like a change from your usual weekend routine or want to avoid those rainy summer walks? 🌧🙄

Let your dog join us for exciting 'Wilderness Walks' on Saturday mornings, happening once or twice a month. Our first walk is planned for Saturday, July 13th, depending on interest.

Treat your dog to a 2-3 hour adventure, including pick-up, drop-off, travel time, and a fantastic walk!

Please ensure your dog has reliable recall, as we'll be exploring areas with potential distractions like deer. We will be venturing of the island to places such as Stansted Park, QE Country Park, Kingley Vale, and more! 🦌🌳

On-lead dogs are welcome, and we invite new and existing dogs to join our small groups of 4. 🐾

Open to dogs from Hayling Island and surrounding areas. Spaces are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Are you heading out for the day or working a longer shift than usual? Cottle’s K9s has the perfect solution for you!

Starting in August 2024, we will offer a Day Care service with both regular and ADHOC spaces available.

I hold a full home boarding license issued by Havant Borough Council (Licence No - 02766). I am insured, first aid trained, and hold a Level 3 Ofqual qualification in Canine Care, Behaviour, and Welfare.

Monthly availability for day care will be posted on my Facebook & Instagram pages. Please see the photo below for my August availability.

To spend the day with us, your dog must:
⭐️ Be over 1 year old
⭐️ Be neutered
⭐️ Have up-to-date booster vaccinations
⭐️ Be current with flea & worming treatments

All dogs must undergo a trial and assessment to ensure their happiness, my satisfaction, and most importantly, the contentment of my two spaniels. After all, it's their home.

Concerned about transporting your dog? We also offer a pick-up and drop-off service from your house for an extra fee (Hayling Island only). Your furry friend will be back home in time for your return!

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO LET YOUR DOGS SNIFF ON A WALK?! 🐾 ⭐️Dogs ‘see’ the world through their noses ⭐️Gives you insights in to their behaviours ⭐️Mentally and physically stimulating - 20 minutes of sniffing is equivalent to an hour’s walk in terms of enrichment for your dog ⭐️Decreases their heart rate & stress levels ⭐️Improves behaviour ⭐️Slow sniffy walks let your dog absorb and process all the scents and the environment

The boys enjoyed some time at the field this morning, burning off some energy safely and securely! Teddie even had his own personal paddling pools to roll about in🙈🤣

Perfect end to the week, we had the beach all to ourselves 🤩💙

Positive dog play involves give-and-take. Even if one dog is the designated chaser and the other is the designated chase-ee, you should see moments where both dogs pause to reset the interaction, or even swap roles. Just like Murphy & Buzz in the 3rd video. If your dog ignores this critical part of play, he is more than likely engaging in pushy play. I always try my hardest to stop this from happening on my walks. It can leave dogs feeling stressed, anxious and as if they can’t escape. If left, it can also lead to aggression & fighting. I LOVE watching the dogs play and have a good time but also love when they can all plod along together having a sniff as they please, enjoying each-others company 🥰

In a world where you can be anything, be as happy as Teddie when he’s rolling in sand! … At least it’s not mud 😅🤪

✨RECALL ✨ I’m so so annoyed that this video went out of focus but I am going to post it anyway because I am so bloody proud of this group today!! PERFECT recall every single time, even to the whistle. They are all starting to understand what it means which is brilliant considering some of the dogs have only been walking with me for a short time. (Cocktail sausages help🙊) Recall, or teaching your dog to come back when called, is one of the most important behaviours you can teach. A strong recall means that you will be able to get their lead back on with ease, and if necessary, take control of a situation and remove them from it before it becomes dangerous. You might even save their life! These guys smashed it today, so pleased 👊🏻😁❤️

Wednesday - always a lively bunch!

Happy dogs = Happy Jemma 😍 The beach has been our base for walks this week, we are so lucky to have it on our doorstep!

How you expect/let your dog to behave out on a walk is a complete personal preference to you! Arlo and Ace are both working gundogs so therefore I personally expect a little bit more from them in the way of behaviour and manners, especially when out and about on walks. My two are nowhere near perfect (Especially Ace - the hormonal teenager! 🤣) but here are a few things we are always working towards on every walk.. - When taking off the lead, they sit and wait calmly for release from me - Good recall - Walking on a loose lead - Staying close and checking in regularly -Being respectful of other dogs and people

Nelly is such a happy girlie! 💖 Out on her first solo walk with me. Again, getting ready for group walks next month. So well behaved 😍 can you believe she is 10?! 😱
