Why do budgies sleep on one leg?

Because if they lifted the other, they’d fall over 😆

In all seriousness, budgies (and many birds) tuck one leg up when they sleep to conserve body heat and give the other leg a well-earned rest. It’s perfectly normal, and a sign your bird feels safe and comfy 💛
